Exploded

My wedding is next Saturday... I had a reaction to my halloween makeup and broke out really bad. Kinda freaking out.

Re: Exploded

  • Yikes... I just started using Peter Thomas Roth products from Sephora and it cleared me up in less than a week! Maybe something clinical strength like that would help?
  • Call your doc, or see a dermatologist.  Is it like an allergic reaction? Are you broken out? Sorry that really sucks, I hope it clears up for your big day! :)
  • if it's an allergic reaction, try some benadrylif not, try some Advil... Use a cotton ball and Bactine to dab gently on the spots. This will help the blemishes from spreading. Don't scratch or pick at it, obviouslyand lay off the make-up for awhile until your face clears up. The make-up will get trapped and cause more break-outs.

  • I would get in to see a dermatologist or at least a facial specialist ASAP.
  • I would first go to your personal physician to see if there is anything he can prescribe you, or if he can refer you to a dermatologist. I take vitamins (burdock and dandelion) which helps to remove toxins within the blood stream. When taken together, they help to treat skin problems. I also use a cream containing tea tree oil. It is an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory cream. Straight up tea tree oil works well too, but may cause some drying of the skin. Don't panic! All will turn out wonderfully! Best wishes!

  • Also, I just wanted to add that witch hazel is very helpful for the treatment of breakouts and Neosporin is as well. Neosporin helps to heal breakouts without leaving scars. I sometimes wash my face with honey as well, because it kills bacteria and soothes the skin.

  • Try not to stress, eat better, see the derm, exercise maybe?I am sorry about this, just try not to stress about it while still working on solving the problem. Stress is NEVER good for the skin.

  • Hey hey thanks for all of the advice! I just tried not wearing makeup, keeping my face clean, and trying to not stress and it is clearing up lol I couldn't see the derm- I was laid off recently and lost my insurance, but a friend of mine is treating me to a facial tomorrow at a spa so hopefully that will take care of the rest of it!
