Big Checks this November!!

This month we booked several big items and it feels good to finally have some checks as well as deposits out the door.

Before this month we just had the venue and the photographer.

Now we have:
Day Coordinator
Florist
DJ
Transportation
Hair/Makeup Artist

What should I focus on now?   Our wedding isn't until October 6, 2012!  :)

    What a great weekend to get married :)

    Who have you booked for your vendors?

    I agree DIY would be a good idea to start on, if you were planning some projects.

    Ceremony musicians would be another.

    You could probably also start working on hotel blocks???

    Congrats!! We are wedding date twins, by the way :) Hopefully the weather is as gorgeous as it was last Oct.6th!

    You make me feel really behind...haha. We only have the venues and photographer. I guess it's time to get goin!

    Do you have your dress yet? That would be a big check, too!
    Who did you book for vendors?

    We do have the hotel blocks - that was something that we did pretty early on since there are going to be so many out-of-towners (fiance is from IL and most of my extended family is from WI).  I think we are going to start making the save the dates - my sister is a graphic designer and we were planning on the  DIY route on those.  If that goes well we would try the same with the invites, programs, placecards, etc in an effort to save money.  We are also looking for centerpieces and I thought it would be cool to do something with lanterns for the tables.  If anyone has suggestions on the centerpiece front - I am very open to hear them!  :)

    Photographer - Studio Laguna
    Florist - Deborah Scott
    DJ - Instant Request
    Transportation - Eclipse
    Day Coordinator - Lasting Impressions
    Hair/Makeup - Emily J

    I got my dress from the Wedding Shoppe.  We were feeling okay only having a couple things booked until one of the vendors we hadn't booked yet became scheduled for our day.  That is what got us motivated this month to start researching and booking.... since someone told us after the Christmas engagements - a lot of vendors start to book up fast.   Now I can breathe easier at Christmas and start enjoying the fun DIY stuff!

    PS - congrats TCBride1.  Where are you getting married?  I think it is a great day to get married - for us the date came to us because we find the number 6 to be lucky and we always knew we wanted to get married in October.  Happy planning!

    Ceremony is at St. Mary of the Lake in Plymouth & the reception is in Rogers.
    You're checks have just given me inspiration to get movin! I'll let you know if any more progress is made before the Holidays (hopefully)!!

    Congrats!  I think you are on a great path, and timeline.  We are getting married in September and have the same things booked as you... Now I am looking into making my guest list set, or as best as possible and addressing our STD's.  Then after the holiday I plan to go bridesmaid dress shopping and kick everything else into gear!

    I agree with the others, start on some projects if you are planning on doing anything. And you can even go through the knot checklist for what other larger items you can check off. :)
