Really good body scrub/exfoliant

I needs one.  Rec yours.  I noticed last night after I shaved my legs that there were all these little hairs that didn't get shaved because they were covered by a thin layer of dead skin.  My body wash has those little exfoliating bead things in it (Dove), but obviously, they're not doing their job.  Anybody have this same problem or can you just rec a really thorough body scrub for me?

Re: Really good body scrub/exfoliant

  • St Ives has a good oatmeal based body wash that exfoliates well.  They also have a good apricot face exfoliator that works well on elbows

  • I use the Lavender Sea Salt scrub from Trader Joes, but it's oily so that won't help with your situation. For your issue, I would get the scrub mitts and wash with those and then shave.

  • i second the st ives
  • I have the same problem. I dont really do anything about though as I end up shaving everyday anyway.
  • I already use the St. Ives on my face.  I guess the reason I didn't use it on the rest of my body was because I figured it wouldn't do the job because it was made for faces and was therefore a little more gentle than a body scrub.  And also because I'm a DA.  I'll try that. Thanks ladies.

  • I make my own. Some sugar, coffee gounds, honey, and a few drops of olive oil. Smells amazing and works better than anything I ever bought
  • My absolute fave body scrub is the high lather scrub from bath and body, it lathers up but still scrubs. I have to buy it off ebay because I can't find it in stores anymore though.

  • Megan, although I didn't ask for any homemade scrub recipes, I was kind of hoping someone had one.  That one sounds great! I make coffee every morning, so I've got plenty of grounds.  I'll definitely try this.  Thanks!
