Wedding Colors

My fiance and I have decided on white and gold for our wedding colors. However, for the bridesmaid dresses I'm not sure that gold is going to be too good. What is a third color we can add for the dresses? Would it look bad to have the guys tux vests gold and the womens dresses another color? Thanks girls!!

    Black dresses with gold accessories would be cute! and gold shoes... :)

    We had a cream and gold theme and our secondary color was champagne. We also had hints of pink and yellow in the ceremony flowers and cocktail hour flowers, respectively. Definitely check out www.theperfectpaletteblog.com for other colors that you could use.

    My BMs wore champagne colored dresses. We tried gold and they ended up looking like Oscar statues, not attractive. The GMs had champagne ties and pocket squares (no vests).

    I've seen gold and silver done really well with champagne as the third color, or ballet/light pink as the third color.  Gold dresses don't usually end up looking good on most people.

    I think a dark burgundy or navy would look nice with gold.

    Don't count the gold out until you've seen it.  Our color are hunter green and venetian gold.  I felt the same way about the gold then I saw it in the store and now my MOH will be wearing it.  The others will be in the hunter green and two look amazing together.  You could also do white dresses for the girls with gold accents if you really feel it won't work.

    I second the champagne suggestion.  I wore champagne in a wedding and it was really pretty.  We wore Bill Levkoff dresses.  He does a nice champagne.
