Don't wear white if you are not the bride. I won't PIP, but though I didn't really care, I can't tell you how many comments were made about the friend who wore white to my wedding.

Don't have a 3 hour gap and then show up another hour late to your own reception bombed out of your mind because you, your husband and wedding party have been off partying. Especially if the rest of us are stuck with your cash bar.

Don't show up 4 hours early to the wedding with your H's who are in the WP, pretending to be "OMG, SOOOO EXCITED ABOUT THE WEDDING!!11!!" and then be so wrapped up in your gossiping (for four.hours) that you MISS the ceremony, while sitting downstairs.

I met a really nice couple on our HM who were also on theirs. I liked them a lot but at one point I did think of feeding her to P&E when she said "Yeah, we had a wedding on the beach in Montauk in October. I didn't care if my guests were cold- as long as it didn't rain!"

Do not tell your WP that we are doing pictures during the gap, when you really mean we are setting up the actua reception. In our blue velvet dresses, in 80 degree Phoenix weather.Oh and do not have the bartender show up at the exact time the guests are to show up. Guests show up early and want a drink right away (hell the WP was already there and need drinks)Oh and make sure your 'head table' is big enough for your WP (SO were not at the head table). Especially when the head table barely fits on the stage to begin with.

If you're having a buffet, don't run out of food and don't let it sit out cold. Don't assign my seat AT the table. Don't make your guests pay for drinks.

Don't put your friends who flew all the way from NYC to Texas for your wedding at a table full of people they don't know far away from the table full of people they do know. Especially not after you told those friends they would be sitting with all the people they know.

Don't have people sing at your ceremony like it's a musical. I'm there to see you say your vows and get married. It's weird to sit there and watch the B&G just stare awkwardly at eachother through not one, but two songs. Save the musical production for the reception...that you barely attended.

Don't make your BM wear any color that is not seen on normal clothing. No one wants to wear neon tangerine, no matter how summery you think it looks. Don't make your BP do a dance. Choreographered or slow. Just don't. Don't do anything involving Thriller for your first dance. So played out. Don't have a cash bar.

Don't not have chairs for your guests for during the ceremony...no matter how short you think the ceremony will be or how much you want to save money on chair rentals.

Don't use pew bows that have lights in them that blink AND require a battery pack that is almost as big as the bows themselves. I saw this done IRL.As for posting fb pics of horrid weddings I have many. Just not the skills to white out faces.
