Bippy, I have a friend that is currently updating her OWN FB status regarding dilation/hours in labor/etc. Really? If I were in labor, I don't think I would be updating my facebook page or on a computer/pda/whatever. I don't even think it was a mobile update.

I am a big fan of STFU, Parents, and STFU, Marrieds for this very reason.I don't post status updates. I would say 90% of my FB "friends" don't even know I AM getting married for this very reason. I am certain others would not be able to justify "life" without being able to post status updates about what they ate for breakfast, what their child's diaper looked like, and how they have the "most amazing husband in the world".At some point, I wonder who they are trying to convince.And, when they really become status terrorists...I delete them. I am not even sure why I am on FB since I don't even have pictures up, or a wall...ha!

good for you!Seriously, people who post about their babies make me not want to have one. If all of your life is poop and drinking gallons of wine every night, then count me out. I'm sure there's more to it than that, but they don't make it seem that way.

I'm fb friends with a few other new moms, and I've never seen a fb status update about baby's BM's. Ick. If I did, I'd at least hide them. That is definitely an example of leaving real life for Mommyland, and not even realizing it (or caring?).

yeah that is nasty. I have one of my friends' status/news feeds on "hide" because it's either crazy stuff or TMI. I think I will have to do the same now to his gf because yesterday on my news feeds, it showed she had posted on his wall: "Thanks babe! Who knew it would take an atheist to make me closer to seeing God?!" or something. Ugh.

One of my friends mom's posted pics yesterday of her daughter giving birth. Like super pained pushing face pics. And then placenta covered baby pics. No vag shots, thank god. I deleted both of them.
