a lil help

what is it a guy dose to help with a wedding i was told thay dont do anything but help with paying for stuff

Re: a lil help

  • It really depends on how much the goom wants to do. If you two are planning it together then most guys look up caterers, tux shops, transporation.  They will what they are asked for the most part. But it really is up to you two and how much he wants to be involved.
  • Well, a guy DOES things like help make decisions. THEY give you their input, help determine your budget, as well as other financial decisions.
  • The wedding is 50% his, so he should be involved.

  • Generally, they just open their wallets and hand over wads of cash for you to spend as you please. ;)

Really, OP, the groom's involvement depends on the individuals. Certain grooms (and brides!) care about certain things and not others. For example, I would be perfectly happy letting FI pick out the cake himself, though he wants my input. He couldn't care less about the invitations, though I begged him to help me with the final decision.

As PPs said, he's 50% of the couple, but you need to work it out between the two of you how much he wants to be involved and what he is interested in.
