Craigslist photographer?

Has anyone ever used a photographer from Craigslist? I thought that I remembered someone posting a review of someone they found there.I just need a few hours of candids and group pics. I don't want to spend a ton of money. I'm thinking no more than $500 for 4 hours. Suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

I've also booked Deacon for my wedding day, who I found through Craigslist. I was down in Vegas to check out The Grove (My wedding venue) and The Wynn (where I'll be staying) and not only did he come with me to my venue, but we did our engagement shoot at Frank Lamb park (I might have the name wrong, but it's near the Grove and the scenery is like nothing I would expect in Vegas). Honestly, I would highly HIGHLY recommend him. His pictures are absolutely amazing and his personality alternates from sweet to hilarious in the blink of an eye!! I need to write up a proper review, I really do. We both hate having pictures taken and I was literally panicking at the sight of a huge camera in my face. I don't know how he'll feel about me sharing a personal moment, but Deacon puts down the camera and asks us if we dance. We're like "uhhh I guess". He then asks if we have a favorite song and we tell him it's "You Got It" by Roy Orbison. He asks us to face each other and look into each others' eyes and tell each other how we feel. Ten seconds pass and suddenly he starts singing our song to us while snapping away. You would NEVER expect it, but the man can hold a tune. I literally lost it halfway through the song and couldn't stop crying and laughing for at least five minutes. He then showed FH how to do a proper dip and somehow seduced a flcok of wild peacocks into joining us. So I have these amazing photos taken at sunset with four peacocks walking behind me. I've never met anyone quite like that and I'm stunned that it was through Craigslist lol. Even if you go with another photographer, drop Mr. Tyler an email and tell him that Liz says "You Got It".
