Destination Wedding Dresses

I'm looking for recommendations for destination wedding dress designers.  We are having an intimate destination wedding in Hawaii and I want a little more than a J.Crew type dress but not a full on ball gown.  I'm getting a little overwhelmed by all the designers and would love some recommendations.

Re: Destination Wedding Dresses

  • You can try a fit-and-flare style to get some volume without being "ball-gown"-y. Also some designers have a destination line. Maggie Sottero has a few dresses, and I'd check David's Bridal too.
  • Venus bridal, eden, mon cheri, mori lee and maggie sottero all have separate destination lines that you can view on their websites.
  • Alfred Angelo has lots of tea length dresses, i actually have a sz 14 (street size 10) of style # 2005 for sale for only $250.  NWT, ivory with gold stitching, tea length, lace, let me know if you would want to see pics, gavintom @ yahoo . com. congratulations, and i envy your exotic location...
  • Thanks so much for all the suggestions.  You guys have all been so helpful!
  • A lot of the Nicole Miller dresses would work.  I just bought one. :)
  • I'm getting married in Costa Rica. My dress is Ella 5356. Not really what you think of in a destination dress but you can take out the back panels behind the corset and I'm wearing very little underneath to keep as cool as possible.
