  • 1. What is your favorite Christmas ornament/holiday decoration? I have these olive green glass ornaments with this gorgeous gold glitter design on them. I absolutely love them. 2. If you were sent on a mission to buy a new holiday decoration, what would you HAVE to get? (Pretend price isn't an issue) I would want a full set of lights in white, and a full set for outside that are the big fat colored bulbs to look like old fashioned ones but are really LED. 3. The most random Christmas ornament/decoration you put up? not mine but my mom puts tiny apples in her tree.4. If you were to design an ornament that would be perfect for YOU (physical features, hobbies, heritage, style of design, whatever) - what would it look like? I dont think I have a perfect ornament because my taste changes from year to year. Something classic and neutral - silver/gold/white

  • 1. What is your favorite Christmas ornament/holiday decoration?: The FSU ornaments my mom gets me every Christmas.2. If you were sent on a mission to buy a new holiday decoration, what would you HAVE to get? (Pretend price isn't an issue): A huge tree!3. The most random Christmas ornament/decoration you put up?: I don't really have anything random.4. If you were to design an ornament that would be perfect for YOU (physical features, hobbies, heritage, style of design, whatever) - what would it look like?: A ball with our monogram on it and polka dots.
  • 1. I have the word "believe" in storybook lettering - it's metal and covered in red glitter and stands on a shelf. It's perfect for both the santa claus version of Christmas and the religious aspects. 2. I'd want candles for every window in our house. I always think it's so pretty and simple when people decorate that way.3. I have a whole set of farm animals with Santa hats on them that I hang up. It makes H happy that I've embraced the whole farm thing :)4. It would probably be a cupcake something or other - maybe with a face on the front, and the cupcake would be wearing the librarian glasses. Or a pug eating a cupcake, maybe. Or a pig with wings - you know, swine flu (flew). :)

  • 1. My parents have a nativity scene I made in day car when I was little.  It is Mary (red), Joseph (blue), and a baby in a bed.  There was also a family of bunnies.  They all had little itsy bitsy bunny ears at one point, but have lost most of them now.  When my parents asked me about the bunnies as a little person, I told them that bunnies liked Jesus, too.2. My dad buys Baldwin snowflakes every year.  Last year was Josh and my first Baldwin.3. I think the little nativity is pretty random.  4. I really like my baby's first Christmas bear.  She is a bear in a red and green dress.  She is on a swing and is missing one of her little bear hands.Apparently I like nostalgia Christmas.

  • 1. What is your favorite Christmas ornament/holiday decoration? I have this Christmas reindeer that sits on ledges.  Everyday when we got home from school my dad would have moved it around the house and we'd rush home to be the first to find it.  It was the one thing I requested when he passed away.  2. (Pretend price isn't an issue)  I really want fat outdoor lights, put up in perfectly straight lines.  They're my favorite houses to look at3. • 1. An old ornament of a jack in the box and when you open it, a fuzzy black cat jumps out. I think it's at my dad's house. 2. Probably something Baltimore Ravens related. 3. My best friend made me a ornament out of paper that is a picture of Ryan Reynolds. 4. It would be a Blythe doll doing yoga.

  • Night - of course bunnies like Jesus! That is too freaking cute for words :) Salt - do they make Blythe doll Christmas ornaments? That really would be perfect for you (if a little creepy - sorry, I think they're creepy. But still cool) :)

  • 1. My leg lamp I made. My girls love it, and I do too! Nothing says "Christmas" like the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the front window. 2. The advent calendar from Nat. Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 3. a dried okra pod that Chloe painted to look like Santa 4. That's tough! Maybe a mid century modern looking ornament with bold colors and cool shapes.

  • 1.  Our ancient nativity scene.  Plastic figurines, with a clothespin Rudolph among the sheep and oxen.2.  A prelit tree (I hate putting the lights on)3.  My Dad gave me a paintbrush one year with a green ribbon to hang it on the tree and a gift tag stuck on it.  He had been helping us paint the house, and gave it to me that year.  It's the most random, and the most important.4.  ???  It would be a little bicycle, or a backpack, or contain a picture of somewhere special that we have been.  Or a picture of us taken at a special event.

  • Yay for random okra pod ornaments! :) My tree is a nostalgic mess. I have red glittery balls that tie it all together, but I also put 2 and 3 ornaments on every single branch so it's loaded with all sorts of random and fun stuff my kids have made and things we've added over the years. I love it! The girls each get to buy one ornament each year, and we label them with their initial and the year so that when they get their own places and trees, they'll have a set of ornaments to take with them. I think I'll cry more when they take their ornaments from our tree than when they walk down the aisle or graduate from college. LOL
  • 1. What is your favorite Christmas ornament/holiday decoration? I have a set of 5 gold trees. They're just metal cones wrapped in jute string, painted gold, I love love love them. 2. If you were sent on a mission to buy a new holiday decoration, what would you HAVE to get? (Pretend price isn't an issue) new lights for the house, they're so expensive.3. The most random Christmas ornament/decoration you put up? i don't think anything i have is random. I do have a pickle ornament that doesn't fit my gold/silver decor, but gets everyone talking. A former piano student gave it to me, and I loved her like a little cousin or something.4. If you were to design an ornament that would be perfect for YOU (physical features, hobbies, heritage, style of design, whatever) - what would it look like? I desperately want to add colours to my decoration scheme this year - and want to make one of these :

  • I obviously mis-read the last question. But I don't really like ornaments, so I wouldn't have something designed.

  • That's okay, p2, I love that wreath! And I've been wanting to make one similar to it with different colors for a couple of years. :)Bec, my parents did the same thing for us. We each had our own little tree in our bedrooms and they gave us ornaments for our trees. As we got older, we got to decorate them and pick the "theme." On year I did a 50's theme, complete with saddle shoe, ice cream sundae, and record ornaments, hoola hoops for the garlands, and a poodle skirt for the tree skirt. LOVED it :)

  • 1. What is your favorite Christmas ornament/holiday decoration? The nativity scene at my mom's house that we've had since I can remember. She collects nativities now, but I always make sure that one is placed front and center on the living room mantel. All the decorations at my house are fairly new, but my husband and I started a tradition of buying each other an ornament, so those will be special. I only have one so far, but I can't wait to add to that collection. 2. If you were sent on a mission to buy a new holiday decoration, what would you HAVE to get? (Pretend price isn't an issue) I was looking at stockings earlier, and there are some gorgeous ones that are out of my price range, but I'd definitely load up the mantel with $200 stockings if I could. 3. The most random Christmas ornament/decoration you put up? Well, my husband bought me this jolly fat cat last year as my first ornament from him, and it's pretty random in relation to all my traditional ornaments. I bought him a football Santa- equally random. 4. If you were to design an ornament that would be perfect for YOU (physical features, hobbies, heritage, style of design, whatever) - what would it look like? It would be a cat sleeping on top of a turquoise cookbook surounded by candy. :)
  • Oh gosh - when I read the title of this thread - all I could picture was a stripper pole with ornaments.....so of course I had to open it!!! So it is a Christmas poll......now I get it - I have nothing earth shattering to add but enjoyed reading the above comments. We are asking our guests who come to our wedding to bring an ornament for us to start our first christmas tree together - rather than a traditional wedding gift as this is a second marriage for both of us. Not terribly original - but at least I will have memories for each ornament on our tree.
  • 1. What is your favorite Christmas ornament/holiday decoration?  This bell that plays an Irish folk tune (not sure the name) and has clovers on it.  It's such a pretty song and I've always loved it.  2. If you were sent on a mission to buy a new holiday decoration, what would you HAVE to get? (Pretend price isn't an issue)  A legit wreath3. The most random Christmas ornament/decoration you put up?  these horse cloth things that covered candy candes 20 years ago.  4. If you were to design an ornament that would be perfect for YOU (physical features, hobbies, heritage, style of design, whatever) - what would it look like?  I actually have several Irish ones that represent me well.

  • 1. What is your favorite Christmas ornament/holiday decoration?  Needlepoint christmas stockings.  Starting the year I was born, my grandfather has stitched a big stocking for all the granddaughters (no grandsons) their first Christmas, and then all the women in the family get a mini stocking each subsequent Christmas.  I have 1 large and 28 small stockings.  He passed away in May, and so now I stitch the stockings for everyone.  2. If you were sent on a mission to buy a new holiday decoration, what would you HAVE to get? (Pretend price isn't an issue)  A new tree.  Mine is 7 or 8 years old and a bit beaten up.3. The most random Christmas ornament/decoration you put up?  I have some Boyds' Bears ornaments that I really like.4. If you were to design an ornament that would be perfect for YOU (physical features, hobbies, heritage, style of design, whatever) - what would it look like?   Some sort of needlepoint, probably about volleyball.
