invitations

Ok, I'm making our invitations, or trying; but that's not why I'm posting.  My mom who is a widower, and her new husband are helping pay for the wedding as well as me and my fiance; his parents are not helping at all.  how would i word the invitation??  i've looked at the example on the site but i don't know what to do.  help please :)

  • "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith request the honour of your presence at the marriage of her daughter Cassie..."  You could include "son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jones" after your fiance's name if you want to mention them, but it's not necessary unless your fiance would like it.
  • You could also use "marriage of their daughter," depending on how close you are to your stepdad.  I also forgot, you'd include your middle name and last name, since presumably your last name is different. The shortest way would be to use "together with their families/parents."  Check with your mom and stepdad and see if they have a preference, and also see what your fiance thinks.
  • My parents are paying for my wedding, and his parents arent contributing. We said "Together with our parents we Sara and Dave..." Hope that helps.
