Hi All,Just wanted to introduce myself and give you a little information about my wedding. My name is Dara and I got engaged in late October. My FI and I have decided to get married in either May or June of 2011 but we have not yet decided on a location. We are from Rockland but so far we have only checked out a few places in Northern NJ. I work in Bergen County so everyone from my job suggests places in that area. All of our family and most of our friends are from Rockland so we will be checking out a bunch of places from there in the next couple of weeks. So far I have really liked The Manor in West Orange.  Our holiday party is always at Seasons so that is definitely an option as well.  Any other suggestions would be great.  We are looking to go no further south than Essex County though.Hope to talk to everyone soon! :)

    How about Rockleigh Country Club....I had my wedding there and it was absolutely beyonf fabulous!Congrays and GL!

    Congratulations! If you give some guidelines around budget and other things you may be looking for, we may be of assistance to you. There are a lot of nice places in the area, which is why guidelines are helpful :)

    Welcome and Congrats!!There are many places for wedding receptions. Do you have a budget in mind? That will narrow down places

    bfp 1 - m/c 1.31.11 @ 10 weeks 

    bfp 2 - baby born via c-section on 5.4.12 @ 37 weeks

    TFAS since February 2013--BFP on cycle 1!

    bfp 3 - blighted ovum/d&c on 4.13.13 @ 8 weeks

    SA #1 - Slightly abnormal shape, #2 - very low count

    Follistim + IUI 3x = BFN, BFN, very late BFP with super low progesterone --> c/p

    Moving on to long protocol IVF with ICSI and PGS in August 2014...how in the holy hell did I get here? FU 2IF.

    I was married at the Woodcliff Manor on Oct. 24th and I cannot say enough about the place.  I will be posting reviews in the next few days  but they were phenemonal to work with and everyone who attended the wedding is raving about them!

    welcome... you could also look at the colonial inn in norwood... its a nice place and family owned. and they will do just about anything for you. we are getting married there october 10th, 2010

    hi!  i live in rockland, grew up NNJ, and had my wedding in west milford, nj, reception in warwick, ny.  guest count?  budget?  we'd be happy to help.  if under 120 ppl, i highly recommend my reception venue, the chateau hathorn... it was amazing. in rockland, def. nyack/piermont area on the water there are lots of cute places.  seasons is a nice place, not a fan of the manor.  there are a ton of places right here so i wouldn't worry about having to go south of essex.

    Thank you all for your suggestions.  They are greatly appreciated!!  I will be checking some of them out this weekend.Here is a little more information about what we are looking for.  We want to have our wedding on a Saturday evening with about 150 - 200 guests.  Ideally we would like to spend no more than $150 pp w/o tax and gratuity just for the place.  We also will be having the ceremony at the location.  Thanks everyone again!  :)
