Good morning???

I'm not so sure yet.I've been up since 3:50am.   I kept hearing a dinging sound and noticed the bathroom light was on.  On my way to the bathroom and I saw DH sitting on the couch chowing down on a big bowl of CocoPuffs.  He was wide awake and full of energy. He decided to go to work at 4:15am.  Sadly by then I was awake. Now I'm so tired.  How is everyone else today?

  • THUPER DUPER!! It's Friday! I got up at 445 am, too, but that's usually when I get up anyway. I just don't know why. I get to hang out with my nephew tonight, so I'm stoked about that, and I should be done with work by 2 today with any luck at all.

  • I wish it was a good day, but I have killed THREE of these in the house today.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntsman_spiderAnd DH doesn't understand why I am so anxious to get out of here and why I'm afraid to go to sleep at night. If I ever wake up and find one of these on me or in the bed...

  • I'm up. The puppy was ready to play at 5. I have a fun day planned, let me tell you! Oil change, social security office (name change), DMV. Fun times.

  • I have the headache from Hell, but it's Friday, so I'm going to overlook it. Happy Friday, everyone!
  • If DH gets off early enought, we might go to BMV today also. (we have to call everything different down here).  Our car needs to be registered and inspected.  I can do it on my own, but DH needs to get his VI license.  After 3 years it's long over due.  Plus he has never registered the car.  The process is just ridiculous, so I've spared him the frustration.

  • aMrs, spiders don't normally bother me, but those motherfuuckers are creepy!
  • Happy Friday the 13th!  I hate spiders.  I have those plug in things all around my house to keep them away.  Today will start out crappy but get better as the time goes on.  Mr Stacks dad is about to go into surgery to have his prostate removed for his cancer.  So vibes on that!  By 1:30 he should be in recovery, so crossing my fingers all goes well. Then I get to get an oil change at lunchtime. Then after work today I get to go see my little brother perform in his first play in high school.  He's super excited.  I hope everyone has a great Friday!
  • Stackeye, good luck to FIL!Today is a good day. Yesterday was a little iffy and I wasn't around much. But Today! Today is wonderful. Court went well and I just dropped J off at work. I was supposed to go on a field trip today w/my niece's school but it was cancelled due to weather. So I'm picking up J from work at noon, we're running errands, then meeting up with our niece after school to spend some time.Tonight, no clue. Tomorrow is for relaxing and Sunday is Tide's baby shower!
  • Good luck Stackey's FIL... my prayers are with you and your family.

  • Good morning...I'm here and kind of annoyed with my job today.  Zippiddy doo dah.
  • sarahbellam, if they weren't so dang big and fuzzy I'd be OK.  Spiders in MD never bothered me too much, but they were the Daddy Long leg variety. When we move into our own place, monthly exterminator is going tohave to be a line item in the budget.

  • Im here. I made the executive decision to sleep in an extra 10 minutes today. It was glorious!!
  • Healthy vibes to your FIL, Stackeye. And I must say, from your new pic, I can see why baby Stackeye is such a darned cutie patootie. You and your husband are an absolutely gorgeous couple.
  • Morning! I'm here. It's Friday.
  • I'm here.  I'm sick, completely exhausted, and have a case of medicine head from the Nyquil I took last night, but I'm surviving.I feel like I missed a lot on here, even though I was only gone a day and a half.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • I'm good.  It's Friday and it's payday.  I'm waiting to go to work until Glass Doctors can get here and fix my front door. They've given FI and me the run around since the beginning and if these glassholes don't show up like they said they would, someone is getting an earful.

  • Felt kind of off yesterday, so I decided to work from home today. So here I am, in the living room, working, watching tv, and knotting. Somehow I feel like I might still get more done than if I was at work with people interrupting me all the time. Stack - I hope all goes well for you guys today! AMrs - that freaks me out. We leave for Australia next Friday and I am hoping to have a spider-free trip. ick. Also, jellyfish free, but thats another issue entirely.
  • KDC, I'm sure hotels have a very large exterminator bill. The only big thing I can tell you about OZ so far is bring money.  lots and lots of money.  McDonalds and Happy Jack (Burger King) are about the same price as the states but that's it.  Everything else you can count on being at least double.   A large cup of coffee is in the $3.90+ range.  A 20 oz bottle of Coke os $3.45+.  The Donut King (Dunkin Donuts), a choclate glazed donut is $2.90.  It is seriosuly ridiculous.

  • Yeah - I figure we're safe at the hotels, We're only going to be in Sydney and Cairns, not too far outside of the city so I'm not too worried. Our biggest excursion is to the Blue Mountains and a wildlife preserve. Ugh. Thanks for the warning. It's too bad the dollar has fallen so much - we would have been much better off last year when the exchange rate wasn't almost even.
  • Cool.  Let me know what Cairns is like.  The house H bought is in Kuranda, just outside of Cairns.  I'm sure you'll be there.  I guess there is some really popular Sky rail train thing through it that tourist do. I however have never been there.  H has always given me the BS tourist line of how wonderful it is, but the again he said that about Perth too, so I'm interested in hearing a 3rd, non-vested, partys opinion.

  • Oh and as for the jellyfish, those are the least of yur worries.  Bull Sharks are known to be found in fresh water (and up rivers), crocs can be anywhere, and as for swimming, they have a lot of scarier things than jellyfish to worry about.  But I did learn that no one has ever died from a sea snake bite :-) Baiscally, I was told that if the water is not contained in cement, don't go in it

  • I will definitely report back to you on the Cairns area! The problem with the jellies is I have a very huge irrational fear of them. If I see one tiny one in the water, I'm out for the rest of the day. I think they're beautiful in aquariums, but I can't stand them near me. I don't think I will be in much water aside from the hotel pool and maybe the sand-bar contained lagoon in Cairns.
  • Oh, and if you could please, report back on the weather in Kuranda if you go.  H admits that Cairns is freakin miserable in the summer time, but swears Kuranda is "oh so much nicer".  Those are awfully subjective terms.  And honestly, I no longer believe a word out of his mouth when it comes to the weather here.

  • Will do - We are kind of winging things, but I will put a visit out that way on our list of things to consider doing!
  • This is Kuranda.  I can only hope its as nice as the webiste. The skyrail is what most people do there I think.http://www.kuranda.org/
