affordable venues in Miami Beach?

on my quest to save money: Im now staring to look at Miami Beach..any venues that dont cost a trillion dollars? suggestions? I want to the rounds tom..the only one that we have checked so far is Miami Beach Resort and Spa on Collins and 48..anybody has any reviews on it? thanks

    I am not familiar with the above referenced locations, however my reception venue is the Shane Center on Miami Beach. and our ceremony is going to be on the Beach @ 67th Street Park.

    my venue is the miami beach botanical gardens, they don't have a caterer so you have to bring some in, depending on who you go with it can save you money or run it up quickly.

    Check out the DoubleTree Ocean Point Resort. It's right on the beach and I believe they start at around $75/pp.

    there is a resturant in South Beach called Yuca they cater to special events in the 2nd floor. They have great prizes (it was my second choice) the party would over look lincoln road mall. email me if you want the price list they sent me. (michy22@gmail.com)

    My venue is beautiful and modern and it's right next to the most expensive steak house in Miami : )Point is - it's a bargain for the look and atmosphere!!  South Beach Marriott. Pics/information in my bio. I have pricing/info if you need it.  Just let me know

    I have been to weddings at both the MB Botanical Gardens and at the Resort and Spa and both were beautiful (and my understanding was that they were both very affordable).  The Botanical Gardens I believe is less becasue you only pay them to use the space, and can choose any caterer you want, so the cost really depends on who you hire.  HTH.

    I think the last I heard (when I was looking) - the Resort and Spa was pretty expensive.

    I saw Catalina Hotel online, they were on one of the wedding websites and they seemed pretty affordable.
