Photographer $600-800?

I have a really tight budget, does anybody know of any good/creative photographers in the range of $600-$800? I'm well aware that that's really low compared to what most people charge but we just can't afford anything else. However I don't want to get stuck w/ someone who does a terrible job. ~Caribekat

    We used Sage Taylor Photography (619) 549-8838 and he is great and affordable!

    Try checking Craigslist. There are some good up and coming photographers that advertise there. Also, my photographer Alexandra Oat is very reasonably priced. My package was more than $800, but I also had an engagement session included. She's really great. When I booked her, I do remember a package around $800, and maybe she will work on the price with you. I was married in April, and LOVE my photos. www.alexoat.com Or email other photographers you like, and ask if they will do an hourly rate that totals $800......

    My photographer, Myda Clark, has cheaper packages.  For $1000 we got a 3 hour engagement photo session, 8 hours day of wedding, a number of prints, and a hard bound book of wedding photos.  We loved our pictures from our engagement sessions.  Her website is www.mydaclarkphotography.com

    Our photographers were a little more than that but worth the extra money. We decided against a videoographer and spent the extra money on them.

    We are using Ann Sumi Photography www.annsumiphotography.com or ann@annsumiphotography.com . We decided on them mainly because we like there candid style but fun kinda posed pictures also! You can tell they like doing what they do.

    I agree though that it never hurts to ask for a lower rate...I am sure most vendors will give some sort of discount.

    My photographer did $999 for the wedding and you get the DVD of all the images and it was 500-600 images.
