And it's good news and bad news. The bad news is that my pain doctor, who I love so much, is just not able to do anything else for me- it's a moment I have been dreading for a while. The good news is, though, that she is referring me to Dr. Schwartzmann at Drexel- the leading top doc in the field of RSD/CRPS. He is the one who pioneered the ketamine treatments- anyone who does these treatments have been trained by him. He has been in this field for 30 years, and is considered the 'guru', as my doctor put it. Hopefully, I am able to get in to see him soon, and with his opinion, the court will accept it, seeing as how he is the most respected in his area. That's the hope anyway... I am also hopeful about the ketamine infusions. Getting a referral to him is not easy by any means, and means that I really am at the last treatment phase. But having researched and talked to others who have had this treatment, I am really praying that this is what can help me.Anyway, I just thought I would give you all an update. It may take a while to hear more, but when I do, you all will be in the know. Thanks for being such awesome, caring ladies! If any of you have any questions about all this, feel free to ask- I am not shy about answering questions about what's going on in my life with all this. Who knows who it could help?
