Father/daughter & mother/son songs

I think I want to make CDs for my dad and FMIL for Christmas. I was thinking I could include possible father/daughter & mother/son songs as a creative way to have them help us choose the songs. Do you ladies think this is a cute idea? Can you suggest the songs you're using for these dances? I have a few in mind but I would like to give them a cd with more than 2 songs on it ;-) TIA

DH really likes "Simple Man" for a mother/son dance.

I'm using "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw for the father/daughter dance.  I think FI finally picked a mother/son dance but I don't remember what it is.

I remembered FI's song!  It's  "I am your child" - Barry Manilow.  It can really be used for either mother/son or father/daughter I think.

We were a bit nontraditional.  My dad and I danced to Sweet Child of Mine by GNR and DH and his mom danced to Mony Mony by Billy Idol.

My Dad and I are dancing to "Oh" by Dave Matthews - he is our favorite. :)  I also liked Paul Simon's "Father and Daughter."
