    thats sucks.... thats ridiculious that they still want to charge the $5 pp.. s:(

    ok sorry for posting so late... We went cake tasting in September, same as you only went to Edda's and DD. We went to both Edda's CG and Doral, both were about the same, like you the Pina Colada Cake tasted like sun tan lotion and on the better side we liked the Amaretto flavor (vanilla with a little hint of Amaretto that made it taste not so plain) and the chocolate. We didn't LOVE them, but we didn't hate them either, they were ok. Then we went to DD and the place was packed! even though we made an appointment it seemed like there was no appointment needed. We got the samples and they were... AWFUL like, I love cake and ate the sun tan one from Edda's but could not finish the ones from DD. Which means bad because there is not a cake that I have ever said no to in my life!!!!! I spoke w FI and said you had a good experience with DD so we might go again to try them???? Don't know what to do really. And at Edda's between the rental fee for the cake stand which is $50.00 and the "extra" $50.00 for the design which is not really anything out of the ordinary, plain all white with 1 flower we are looking at $100.00 extra. Urrrghhhh We are paying so much for this wedding I don't feel like another $100.00 in extra for an ok cake!
