Re: What song are you walking down the aisle to?

  • We're having a live harpist and violinist BMs are walking down to instrumental when a man loves a woman I'm walking down to canon in d
  • Bridal Party - "Viva la Vida" (Instrumental) My entrance - "Feels Like Home" - Chantal Kreviazuk ("There's something in your eyes/that makes my heart beat fast/I hope this feeling lasts/the rest of my life....") Signing documents - "Chasing Cars" - Snow Patrol Recessional - "Before You" Chantal Kreviazuk (It's a really upbeat tune and totally relates to us...."Baby before you/I was bad news....") Yes, we love Chantal Kreviazuk! And we're definately very contemporary.....funny thing is we're getting married in a garden, and the Prelude will be Celtic harp music. I love the contrast between setting that scene and then adding the contemporary music.

  • I think mine may be "Stand by Me." I just love that song!
  • I was going to go with the classic Bridal March, but recently, we've been tossing around the idea of replacing that with Beyonce's "Halo."Parents are being seated to John Mayer's "Daughters" and my daughter and stepson (both professional vocalists) will be singing "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait as the wedding party walks.  The sand ceremony song is something I wrote myself called "Guiding Light", and the recessional will be "(This Will Be)An Everlasting Love" by Natalie Cole.

  • I walked in to "They Bring Me To You" by Joshua Radin. I just shortened to include the lyrics I thought worked well. The family and Bridesmaids walked in to "Yellow" by the Vitamin String Quartet and "Clocks" also by VSQ. Then we just had a bunch of VSQ songs playing as people were coming into the ceremony.

  • I'm thinking an acoustic version of "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters for me, and either "Tonight Tonight" by Smashing Pumpkins or "3 libras" by A Perfect Circle for my bridal party.
  • The string quartet version of Take Your Breath Away.

  • Bridal party is walking down to be my baby by the fray and i'm walking down to never say never also b the fray. i love those 2 songs together!!
  • i'm planning on using the instrumental version of the Talking Heads' "Dream Operator" from the film True Stories.  That sequence in the film has a very funny bridal fashion show. My groom turned me on to that movie, and it quickly became my favorite. I haven't told him my plan yet -- I think it will be a very cool surprise.
  • I'll be walking down to my cousin playing "100 Years" by Five for Fighting on the piano.  It's great!  I have a few different choices yet for the WP...but I'm positive about mine!

I keep you with me in my heart, you make it easier when life gets hard.
  • Pachelbel's Canon D.  I am very excited. :)
  • i have always dreamed of someone singing 'ribbon in the sky' by stevie wonder as i walked down! so that it will be :)
  • Walking in to a piano rendition of "I Will Follow You into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie.  My cousin is recording the piano.

We're walking out to "Love You Madly" by Cake. . .this time with words.
  • Various instrumental songs will play while guests arrive. Parents/Grandparents walk in to "Air on a G String". Bridesmaids walk in to "Cannon in D" and I will walk in to the traditional Bridal March "Here Comes the Bride"... I've just envisioned it since I was little... Instead of unity candle or sand ceremony, we're just going to sign our marriage license during this time. Keith Urban's "Making Memories of Us" will play.
  • "Dawn" by Dario Marianelli.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat. image

  • Haven't completely decided yet but Bridal March by Jonathan Cain is a VERY beautiful rendition of the traditional march without the intense pomp. love it!
  • The bridal party and I will enter to Trumpet Voluntary by Jeremiah Clarke on the church organ.
  • The Vitamin String Quartet version of "Sweet Child of Mine" - we're using all music we've seen performed live in our ceremony since we go to a lot of concerts together.
  • A Whole New World on the piano only
