Ideas to avoid sinking heels?

Having been a bridesmaid in an outdoor wedding i know the problems there are with sinking heels. Any creative ideas to help avoid sinking heels for the bridesmaids while they are standing next to me? Maybe putting something stable and hard where each girl stands?? I'm a little lost lol your help is greatly appreciated :) thanks

    Walking down the aisle will still be difficult.  Let them choose their own shoes, but recommend a flat or a wedge to them in case they haven't thought it through.

    Edit: If your wedding is on a beach, you all can also consider bare feet.

    im gifting these to my BM's and picking up a pair for myself.  I  totally splurged on my wedding shoes (Badgley Mischka is to DIE for) and i'll be damned if they get ruined in the grass.

    I walked barefoot instead of wearing heels. Have you considered that possibly?

    I had the same concern for our upcoming outdoor wedding.  I ended up choosing a white wedge flip flop with sparkly straps.  Cheaper, more comfy, and easier to walk in than the wedge heels I was looking at.Smile

    THIS! they work wonders! I tried a pair of shoes with and without them on and walked around the yard, what a difference! they are fantastic. I told all my BM's about them too. You can get them off ebay too.

    This seriously made my night. I was bumming because I wanted to wear really great sexy heels and my ceremony (is in the grass) and reception is all outdoors. I knew there was something out there like this! My FI will be just as excited as I am! 

    Nothing against wedges of course but I wanted to wear really special shoes for such a big occasion.
