Average Invitation Cost?

I have been looking around at pocket fold invitations (mainly on etsy, as I am an addict!)
the ones I like seem to be around $4.50 mark per invite
Has anyone gotten these much cheaper??
This stuff adds up!

    Are you able to or into DIYing at all? I did my pocketfolds with mat, panel, belly band, crystal accents and 5 inserts plus envelopes and stamps for $3.75 ... Pics in Planning  Bio along with vendor details

    Like sunflwr said, if you can DIY, you can save a lot.  Paperandmore.com has a ton of pocketfold options for less than $1 each, and lots of paper/cardstock colors and paper types.  If you are crafty, you could do something for $3-4 probably.  You can order samples online, and if you are doing inserts they can pre-cut the paper for you.  I think they even recently added printing services, but I don't know much about that.  GL!
