sorry, i never posted what the dermo recommended.

she wants me to switch over to all cerave products -- specifically, the hydrating cleanser, and then the am and pm lotions.  i had to amazon these; she said i should be able to find them in a pharmacy, but i couldn't find them.  it's been day two of sample use, and no visible results thus far (HEE).

i also need to switch to dove soap for mositurization during showering.  lotion after the shower should be cetaphil, which i will need to pick up at costco.

as for my dry scalp, i can continue to use h&s for dry scalp.  when it alleviates to the point where i feel i can switch over to civilian shampoo, i should use aveeno moisturizing.  no more using neutorgena tar shampoo that smells like burning tires -- yay!

    It's nice that you're mostly doing things OTC.

    I was THRILLED to discover that they came up with a generic for my prescription shampoo.  From $50 to $10 was enough to make me want to kiss my pharmacist.

    I'm a fellow rosasian, but I also struggle with acne and some allergies - so none of those things your Dr recommended worked for me.  Poo!

    DD uses the Aveeno moisturizing baby products and it's helped her cradle crap (yes she still has it at 2 1/2) and her Keratosis Pilaris tremendously.   I was skeptical about the Aveeno products because they're made by Johnson & Johnson.   But they're great!

    i forgot!  i do have a prescription for a face cream and a scalp treatment.  the scalp treatment is twice a day, and the face cream is once a day.

    the cerave products are supposed to be okay for acne; they are not clogging.

    it looks like it will be about 4 weeks for results -- whew!  enough time to look adequate for kuus's judging eyebrow.  arbo, i plan to hide behind you.

    I've seen Cerave here at CVS< but that doesn't 'really help you.  Poo.

    I'm glad that you don't have to fork over tons of moolah.

    If you have a prescription that is a steroid, you will see results relatively quickly.

    M1 uses the Cerave for the KP that AF mentioned (follow that?)  I found it at Walmart, but it was a little obscure.

    6 - How much has the Cerave helped his KP?     Either the Aveeno is really working or DD's growing out of it - - it's hard to tell which.

    I'm kind of in the same boat.  Is it age or the lotion?  or even the weather change?  I don't really know, just glad it's fading.
