Need a photographer (preferably for engagment and wedding photos!)

I just bought a Groupon for J Carlynn engagemet photos and could not get ahold of them to use the stupid thing! (Groupon offered me a refund) So now I'm in need of a reliable photographer to do my engagment photos and my wedding photos.  I've heard that some photographers will do engagement sessions for free if you book them for your wedding, does anyone know of any places like that around Lansing?

Also, my fiance and I are both in law school so we are on a budget.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

    We're using Jill Lenkowski of Two Ring Photography (http://www.tworingphotography.com/). She's super sweet and offered ala carte pricing (we contacted a few photographers that insisted on us purchasing a wedding package with all sorts of bells and whistles we didn't want).

    I just had Town Square Photo do some fixes for me.I wish I had hired them for my wedding.

    Not sure if i'm joining the party late or not but....I highly recommend Malcolm Forbes. He's doing mine and my fiance's wedding photos and he's doing our engagement photos for $100.  He totally worked with our budget and was incredibly understanding that we were nervous being that the original photographer we hired SUCKED.  If you haven't committed to anyone yet, you should really check him out!

    One of my good friends, Monique, is the owner of Moxy Imagery in Lansing. She does engagement photos as part of a weding package I'm pretty sure. She does beuatiful work and is a wonderful person.

    I had the same problem with J. Carlynn. It took six weeks or more to schedule a meeting with her. I heard she had a stroke or something, but all the excuses I got were her daughter had some problems, blah blah blah. I wasn't impressed.

    I personally don't think that Moxy Imagery is very good. Try Karie Anne Photography, karieannephotography.com. She offers a lot of Facebook deals and also does engagement and boudoir. S

    Also, check out lifeisfocused.com.  He's done family/senior portaits for people I know and also does weddings.  In fact, he's doing a friend's wedding in August and another in December! He does great work!

    This might be a tad late, but I found someone for myself and my fiance in the Detroit Area who is just starting out but takes GREAT pictures . Her name is Jacquelyn Goodfallow (http://j2foto.wordpress.com/)

    SUPER reasonable prices (every package is half off from the listed price because she's building her portfolio) and the engagement session is included in the package. I have yet to have our engagement session (scheduled for August), but she's been great with responding to emails and answering questions, and all of that sort of customer service stuff.
