Wedding dress shopping!

Hi all.  I am new to the boston area.  I was wondering if anyone could point me into the right direction for dress shopping.  I have already visited La Riene Bridal.  I was looking to see if anyone knew of anymore dress shops with a wide variety and great costumer service?

Re: Wedding dress shopping!

  • While its not your typical bridal shop, I can totally recommend Vows it Watertown...their service is great and the ladies in there really know what they're talking about.

  • brides against breast cancer is having an event in cambridge this weekend.  they have a great selection of dresses for reduced pricing and the proceeds go for a great cause.  I got my dress at an BABC event in dc for about 300 (normally over 1600 dress)

  • Allegria bridal in Arlington has a smaller, but better collection in my opinion. Definetely worth a stop. I've been twice and have always had a great experience.

Vows was overwhelming and crowded and some of the dresses cost the same as a new one.
  • I highly recommend Platinum Bridal in Southboro. I just bought my dress there on Saturday! It is a beautiful shop and the experience was great. The selection isn't enormous but there is definitely a wide variety to choose from. Kathi (the owner) was fantastic and helped me find THE dress!
  • Bride's Choice in Waltham has a great selection of gowns - alot in petite sizes.   Zee was wonderful and helped me find the perfect dress.
  • Madeleine's Daughter in New Hampshire (not far from the Boston area - about 1.5 hr, maybe less) - huge dress selection and great staff!
  • <div>Allegria is in Belmont and Camilla's is in Arlington. I bought my dress at Allegria, but also looked at Camilla's. Both have good customer service. </div><div>
