okay, lets get serious for a minute

what kind of exercises do i have to do to decrease that horrible armpit/boob fat roll that bulges up when you wear a strapless dress?

i hate that fat roll. seriously. its like the bane of my existence. its just there. every time i put my arms by my side, bam, there it is.

To tone and lose any excess "flab" you have to do 2 things:

    1. Kick start your heart rate: either with an intense but quick 15 minute cardio burst or heart rate boosting weightlighting.. think compound movements where you're not just sitting around.

    2. For specific target areas of your arms I like certain free weight exercises like an incline bench press or a a decline bench press (both target your chest area and the back of your arms).

And I should add that any weight you lift must be hard... like if you can do 30 reps without breaking a sweat your not using heavy enough weights. Also, try starting out with 8 to 10 reps 3 times with a 10 second rest in between. That'll really get your heart rate going and your fat burning!

I also like push-ups and certain weight machines at the gym like the over head press.

I'm pretty sure "fly's" work best for working this area.  I will do a horrible job explaining it, but here goes....Lie on your back (either on an aerobic step or workout bench) and put your arms straight up holding 5-8lb weights.  Then slowly bring your arms out to the side keeping them straight and bring back up.  I usually do 3 sets of 10-15 reps of this along with other arm/chest exercises. Good luck!!!

Ditto flys.  I'd also add dips and pushups.

Oh, and by "dips" I didn't mean those hard-core dips, I meant the ones where you sit on a chair, move your tush off the edge and dip up and down.

Push-ups, the old stand-by. I have been trying to do them every night (succeed about half the time).

my trainer has me down push ups.. tricep presses (which actually are helping that area) and also pulldowns with side crunches at the same time. rowing can help too because it tones around the back which in turn helps you tone the front. at least according to my trainer and ive seen some improvement!

I bought the book Buff Brides and I've toned up a lot.  It includes the exercises the girls above mentioned, and some others.  I am also a strong believer that you can't "spot reduce" and you have to do some cardio to get your heart rate up and burn calories.  So a combination of strength training and cardio will get you the best results fast!

Push-ups are your friend.  You don't have to buy anything and can do them almost anywhere!
