Name for Someone Carrying Flowers?

I have 2 friends that I wanted to honor in my wedding but did not have room for in my wedding party.  I thought about the idea of having them be candle lighters, but we are having an outdoor wedding, which for us means no candles, as we have no idea what the wind will be doing.  So, my idea is for them to bring the alter flowers down the aisle at the same time the candles would normally be lit.  This would serve the same purpose- kind of marking the beginning of the ceremony and what-not.  I was so happy to finally figure something out, but now I'm working on my ceremony program and wondering what the heck to call them!  Any ideas?  Thanks!

    Frankly, if someone said to me," I'm going to include you in my wedding by having you carry in the flower arrangements at the beginning of the ceremony.  Aren't you honored?" I'd probably snicker.  And be embarrassed.

    Sorry, but "flower arrangement carrier" is, IMO, a made up "pity position" kind of job that says "I want you to think that you're part of the wedding, but you didn't make the cut for WP."

    People get so caught up in trying to include everyone in their wedding that they forget that being a guest IS an honor.  Carrying in flower arrangements is not.

    I do like that your trying to honor them in some way. But I think if I saw them walk down with flower arrangements I would think they worked for the venue and they forgot arrangements until the last minute. Can't you have them be escorted down the aisle by an usher or something like that.

    They hand out programs and bubbles to people as they enter and direct people to sign book.

    That sounds more like paid setup labor than a position of honor.

    ETA: I'm also not exactly sure what you mean by "when the candles would normally be lit."  Ritual candle lighting isn't a universal part of wedding ceremonies.  I'm not even sure it's all that common.  I've been to all sorts of weddings, and I've never seen it done.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    FYI, I would throw all of these in the same category as flower arrangement carrier.  These are not honorable jobs and are looked at rather unfavorably by most people on these boards.

    If you want to honor them, make them "honored guests" and make it a point to make eye contact with them as you walk down, or up the aisle, and spend some time with them during the reception, or maybe get a few special pictures of you together.   It is not necessary to include all your friends and relatives by giving them a "job" in your wedding.   

    In my opinion, flowers and decorations should all be placed in advance, before guests get there, because it is "prep work".
