it was necessary for me! mine was a godsend. laura from honeybee weddings.

didn't have to think about anything but having fun the whole day. so worth it.

I would say necessary but it doesn't have to be a "pro". I had 2 of my really good girlfriends do the day of coordinating and everything was great! I gave them a list of the vendors with phone numbers and contact names. They really didn't even need any of that info but it was good to have just in case. They came to the rehearsal and to the hostess meeting to see how everything was supposed to go and to meet anyone that they did not know.
And the whole time, my future husband was in the room...... image image

I'm getting married next month and I hired a DOC because I just couldn't pull all the last minute things together myself, and because I didn't want people hounding me on the day of my wedding about every little detail.  I'm using Karolina Warren and she's spectacular.

I used Karolina Warren and she was AWESOME. I highly recommend her.

I needed a DOC because I brought in catering and bar to a venue that they have never used before. Karolina made sure my vision was executed to perfection WITH my other vendors and worked well with all including my florist kiokreations, my DJ Music by Design, my videographer Shoot the Bride Films (who I do not recommend) my linen vendor Chair coture and the venue Mayslake Peabody and my officient. I had nothing to worry about the whole day except enjoying myself.

I would not have been able to do it all without her, as she made sure everything was perfect and my family and I didn't have to worry about anything.

    Weddings by Karolina, ROCKS!!!!

I say worth it if you can fit it in your budget. We're using Amanda at LaDi Events. It's really for piece of mind that everything will go as planned.

NECESSARY, 100%!!!!! We debated and considered it, and we got one for our wedding and it was the BEST decision we made! I never had a plan for someone spilling red wine all down my dress, it just happened during the cocktail ceremony and there was my DOC and her assistant to save the day and come to my rescue as they scrubbed my dress on their hands and knees with their shout towels in their Emergency Kit bag. Besides that, they catered to me for everything and anything I needed so that I could actually enjoy my wedding and not have to worry about anything. We used Kristin with Sweet Pea Wedding Studio. She was really great to work with and I can't say enough how helpful her and her assistant were to us!!

Most of my friends got married before me and three of them used the same DOC.  After seeing their weddings I WILL be using the same DOC.  I have been to weddings where the bride is running around like crazy, setting up at midnight the day before and cleaning up at the end of the night.  I DO NOT want to be like that.  My DOC takes care of everything, I have only been working with her for a month and she has already been so worth it!  I am putting so much work into my day I want it to be perfect and not have to worry!!  I am using Amanda at Tailored Engagements.  www.tailoredengagements.com She works out of Milwaukee but I believe she travels quite a bit for weddings.
