Did anyone see the Wedding Channel Deal for today?  It's 50% off a name change from missnowmrs.com.  Has anyone heard of this site?!  I've been told it's a pain in the butt to change your name but if it can be done all online for a small fee it sounds worth it!  Of course I have another year before I need to worry but just looking for feedback if anyone has used or heard of this site and to let you know there is a sale :-)

    I've heard of it, and heard it's reputable.  Unfortunately, it's not even remotely half the paperwork I'll have to do to change my name due to the military connection.

    Just know that they don't (and can't) file the paperwork for you - they give you some simple questions to fill out, then they auto-fill all the paperwork and give it to you to print out and send in yourself.  The only person who could do all that themselves is a lawyer who is given power of attorney, and that's likely going to cost you an arm and a leg (and isn't worth it).

    Just make sure it's still valid in a year!!! Laughing

    I tried Miss now Mrs and really wished I hadn't. Saves no time......in fact, takes more time. No form they provided was actually what I needed. I had to look up the addresses for my banks, credit cards, etc. myself. Then, the form that the website provided was missing something. It would be way, way faster to just contact your bank directly, find out exactly what they require (since they are all a little different) and go from there. Save your money, DO NOT BUY Miss Now Mrs!!!!
