Live Ceremony/cocktail Music Ideas??

We are interested in ceremony/cocktail hour music for outdoor wedding. We like the harp sound. .  we looked into Harp/Flute duo which we may go with, but have nothing to compare to or ideas on what else is out there. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions???? Thanks!

Hi, I used Emily Nolan. She is a violinist. She will play on her own or with others. I cannot remember the other instruments but she was great so I would give her a call. 401-965-0412. Just for a note I also used Emily to play music at our ceremony.

You should check out a recent post about ceremony music-there were good suggestions on there.

check out gigmasters.com, they have a fantastic and easy way to look at live music groups in the area.

also- when you do look at harpists, don't be alarmed by their travel fee.  many harps cost more than a year at college and they need to be ecxeptionally well protected when they're in transit

We are using la Bella Musica. Make sure you can have live music outside for the cocktail hour. We ran into this problem. oceancliff said you can have it for the ceremony but for the cocktail hour they couldnt be outside. Not sure why. they just said they can get away with it for the ceremony b/c its a religious thing. So just make sure to ask your vendor before booking anything.

I found our harpist Mary King on gigmasters.  She has been great to work with so far.  I also really enjoyed using that site, it was super easy and gave you a lot of different options to chose from.

Ruth Saltzman, excellent Harpist sometimes teams up with other instruments.
Also, a Violinist or Pianist  is beautiful.

we're having a life classical guitarist. he specializes in latin/flamenco type music which we thought had a nice touch that was somewhat different yet still classy and warm. we found him on gigmasters: Joszef Halajko; can't wait!
