Wedding Invitations & Paper

invitation inserts

What is the take on including a map/directions to the reception hall from mapquest or hand written as one of the enclosures.  I am sure it isn't necessary, but I'd like to give directions and have a small message letting them know of the parking.  What do you think?  I also don't want to have the invitation costing more with this possible insert.  What if I had wrote on the upper flap of the RSVP card?
Any help/advice would be greatly apprieciated!

Re: invitation inserts

  • You can definitely get cardstock in one of your colors and print them out yourself. I much prefer an "Additional information" insert than making other things look cluttered.

  • You could also include an insert on directions to the reception from the ceremony in the programs, so that the guests will not have to worry about remembering to bring the invitation insert with them.  This is what I am planning on doing and just including information about parking on the website or a blurb on one of the other inserts in the invitation.

  • Thanks for all your help!  They were all helpful, but I think I am just going to add the information to the program.
