I have my vision but not the place to hold it...looking for a venue in the DC/Frederick/Baltimore area.

I would like a place with some victorian or vintage inspirations (if not actually historic its okay) and great details like a staircase, or a garden for wedding photos. if any of you have ever heard of Steampunk it is an underlying theme behind my victorian inspired vision. I would like to seat 150, need room for a dance floor, and everyone must be in one room (a problem with historic venues) although a seperate/outdoor cocktail area would be grand!

Has anyone ever visited someplace like this?
Thanks for your help!

  • I am having my wedding at Oxon Hill Manor which is a historic mansion with gorgeous gardens and reflective pool. They have a large patio that offers a huge beautiful tent with gorgeous chandeliers. This would seat that many guests. Check it out. Prices are also very reasonable.

  • Hi, you should have a look at the following:

    Milton Ridge (Nr Clarrksburg)
    Stone Manor (Middletown)
    Ceresville Mansion (Nr Frederick)
    Alexanders (Buckeystown)
    Comus Inn (Nr Sugarloaf Mountain)

I have worked with all of these venues and can recommend them all.  If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

    Good Luck!

  • The seating would be inside the tent. You could sit indoors but tables would have to be in two rooms. Sorry that wouldnt work for you. The Ceresville Mansion that the other post mentioned is very beautiful as well. I loved it but it was quite more expensive for me. Hope you find something great.

  • Ceresville Mansion and Stone Manor were both finalists in our venue search. Ceresville has the customer service that will beat any other venue you go to. Go take a tour of their venue!!
