Sessions was right...

...it's super quiet here :(

What has everyone been up to? Plans for this weekend?

I'm going home and get to see FI after work today and I have my very first fitting tomorrow. I'm going to take pictures :) FI and I are going to a company picnic for his work after my fitting and then it's just the usual for the rest of the weekend: church on Sunday and doctor appointments on Monday and then back to work.

I'm excited to be going to the annual Celebrate Freedom concert tomorrow.  It's an all day FREE concert of Christian artist.  It's always the weekend after Father's Day here in Dallas.  Will be seeing Chris Tomlin, Switchfoot, and many others!  It will be hot (95+ tomorrow), but such a great day to go and enjoy great friends and great worship music.

I was wondering if there was something wrong with TK because there weren't any new posts...
Have fun at your fitting! I can't wait to see photos!!
Tomorrow we're having a family beach day and Sunday is church and maybe a family cookout.

DH and I are both sick.  He really didn't have to share his cold with me.  I would have been okay without it.

I'm trying to get all of my stuff unpacked in OUR apartment. :)

Saturday, we're both working on the storage room and then going to a Gold Award Ceremony for one of the girls in the youth group.

Sunday is church, I'm filling in for the HS girls teacher (this week's chapter is Love & Sex...awesome), and then the church is hosting a potluck in honor of our wedding.  But, there's no evening service this week, so Sunday night we can chill.

I've been pretty busy this week, even though I'm techinically "off" work for the summer.  Job applications pretty much fills up my day, well, that and facebook games to keep my mind off of things.  We're in the final 3 weeks of wedding planning over here and things are happening ... little by little.  If you haven't checked my siggy in a while, as of June 16th (the RSVP deadline), we were missing around 70 people's rsvp (mostly in parties of two but several single parties).  Around 40 cards still not to show up, out of 100 cards sent out, and over 200 invited.  It has been a little frustrating, but we are slowly whittling the list down.  We now only have to find out about ... 43 people.  Over a week after the RSVP deadline.  One consolation is that one party I contacted had actually mailed the card the week they got the invitation, so we know that theirs was lost in the mail (very trustworthy friend, I know she wouldn't lie about something like that!).  Anyway ....

Off to move some boxes.  Next week we'll be working on packing up stuff in FI's apartment that goes back to his family's home, and getting some of my personal stuff out of boxes ... and then figuring out where to put all of the wedding gifts.  We have the official bridal shower TOMORROW and I know we'll probably get quite  few things there - it's the church one, and I know a LOT of people are planning to come at some point during the drop-in shower, and I have another cook-out after that with some of my parents friends (who will undoubtedly have a gift as well) .... things are going well but I'm SO busy!!!!!! :-)

I agree, it has been quiet!

Tonight is the last night at vacation bible school. Hotdog dinner and then closing ceremony at the end.

Tomorrow, I have a quiet day. FI and I will have our usual date night.

Sunday: church and then I will head to a local college for a soccer camp. I will be the trainer and be there until Thursday.

Tonight: Wedding Event #1 - Wedding of a high school friend of mine at a local museum (so excited for this part)

Tomorrow: Car shopping, Graudation Party and Wedding Event #2 of the weekend. A wedding for one of my best friends from college.

Sunday: Church and Wedding Event #3 - Shower for the Wedding I'm a BM for in July.

mmhepb - That sounds awesome. I used to go to Ichthus every year but I haven't been able to go for the past few years. It breaks my heart!

brist - I love your sig picture!

Yay that I was right, boo that it's so quiet!

WR:  I am going with 3 of my 6 BMs to buy their dresses tonight.  One of those BMs (Laura) is spending the night with me.  She's getting married in January 2013 and I'm a BM in her wedding.  All of the other BMs are either single or don't have weddings even as near in their future as Laura, so they don't get as excited about wedding talk as she does.  I also need to order some more invitations and see if Laura will help me with some of my DIY while we chat.

NWR:  Laundry, sleeping in, church, the usual.  :)

I was thinking the same thing!!

FI was visiting earlier this week, but headed back home a couple days ago. I've just started tackling packing up my apartment. I'm moving into what will be OUR apartment in a few weeks. I've been in the same place for awhile so packing is no fun, but with working I really need to get started. Other than packing and working not much is going on here. I do have to work on Sunday...boo!!!

So much fun. It does get pretty hot but they have fans set up all over the place. Some of the stages are under tents too.

One year, it rained, snowed and there was a tornado. There was some good weather in there too, but the cool part was on the weather map. It looked like a donut with Wilmore in the hole of better weather. Everywhere else around was crazy thunderstorms and more severe tornadoes. Those two instances may have been different years. I've been a lot of times, so the details kinda run together sometimes.

I think all the May and June '11 brides are starting to trickle back slowly...lol. It has been a whirlwind to get back from everything.

Sadly I head back to work tomorrow, boo! I've been off over 2 weeks and its been great...don't want to go back, especially to open the store at 5am, ugh! But I may not have to do it much longer because I had an interview today that went GREAT! Hopefully I will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies for 6th grade next year...we'll see!

DH and I have spent the past two days picking up the major necessities we didn't get off our registry and beginning to organize the house. He teaches as well so its super nice we have the time to do this, and even with me being at Starbucks its slower now, less hours, because all the snowbirds flew north for the summer.

Tomorrow we'll be back to church for our first service as married couple, yay! Then Sunday, depending on my work schedule, we're planning on having our first big dinner using our china and kind of going all out. Very excited :)

    I'M GOING ON VACATION  Smile

I'm so excited - I'm going to camp (my family's church camp where I've been going almost every year since I was a baby).  I get to see my 91 year old Grandma while I'm up there too.  And Aunts/Uncles/Cousins/friends.  I will also have plenty of time to relax.  And DH is staying home (BOO!) but I can't wait to go.

mmhepb- a free concert with Chris Tomlin sounds great!

Genao- I hope you at least ate SOME cheesecake last night! You have to at Cheesecake Factory!

Rachel- Glad the interview went well!! My FI teaches 6th grade Language Arts too, so he can give you some pointers! I am also a teacher (1st grade), so I know what you mean about you and your hubby being teachers- it is great! Let us know what happens!

As for me... Last night was my aunt's birthday and then my mom and dad helped me figure out how to make the centerpieces for the wedding... We'll do the rest in a week... Today I have to go to the reception venue at 4 to see if my DVD slideshow plays on their DVD player... at 5:30, FI and I are going to our friends' for a game night!  ..... Tomorrow is church.. it's an outside service in the pavilion, so that will be fun! Afterwards, we might stick around for the day camp open house- the people get to try the various day camp activities such as a rock climbing wall (which FI did last year) and a zipline (which I did last year). The rest of my weekend will be filled with DIY projects for the wedding... Guestbook and card box are done (almost), next up is the ring bearer pillow!
