Riverboat wedding?

Hello! Have you ever been to a riverboat wedding? I've found Celebrations, Destiny (yacht), and BB Riverboats in the Cincy area but I'm wondering if anyone has been to one. Any idea on cost? Other thoughts? Thanks!

I went to a bridal show (Mafia event) that I believe was held on the Destiny....and I was not impressed at all. I felt really confined b/c the ceilings were really, really low. I know that one of my guests is about, if not over 7ft tall, so he would not have fit! You can google all of the boats you have above and find pricing (or call), but personally I didn't really think that it (Destiny) was very nice.

My brother was married on a riverboat.  It seemed like a great idea, until the bridal party started turning green.  Lots of seasickness.  Otherwise, it was very pretty.  They luckily had perfect weather, and everything was held on an open air deck.

Ha! Somehow I didn't think of seasickness but I can see that being an issue - for ME!! :)

    Thanks ladies!

I went to a rehearsal dinner on a B&B Riverboat a few years ago in June and it was nice.  However, if the weather had been bad, it would have been very crowded in the enclosed areas.  Luckily, we had lovely weather and it was a lot of fun.  I'm not sure if the pp who mentioned seasickness were on B&B or a smaller boat, but I have never found seasickness to be a problem on B&B (maybe because the boat is bigger).  Oh, and wee had full access to the entire boat, but there were other people on the boat, so if you want a completely private event, you might have to pay extra. I think pricing is available on the B&B website.

I checked out B & B Riverboats and Celebrations.  At the time we were anticipating aprox. 175 guests.  With B & B their middle sized boat would have been perfect.  We would have had a private charter and I loved the feel of the boat.  HOWEVER, my guests would have been split up onto 2 floors for dinner.  Since we had so many people paying a lot of money to come in from out of town, I did not think they would appreciate being sat for dinner on a different floor from the bride and groom.  With the larger boat, we would have been sharing it with the general publc and any guests that arrived late would have missed the reception!

I really LOVED Celebrations!  However, 175 would have been REALLY tight, too tight if the weather made the upper deck unavailable.  They have a nice tarp to cover that upper level but they do not put it on until May.  Our wedding is in March.  Had we had a summer wedding with around 150 guests or less, we would have had the ceremony and reception on the Celebrations boat!!  The couple that runs it are really nice and they have a great menu!

    Good luck,

    Carrie

Ive been to a rehearsal dinner on B&B. It was really nice, but I think it would be too small for a big wedding. Ditto on the seasickness- I thought Chris was going to hurl!
