i'm so excited about the 30th b-day party i'm throwing my FI tonight!!!! i bought a new sexy black cocktail dress and i might try out my new fake eyelashes as well!!!

I love getting dressed up. Fake Eyelashes are always fun!

I'm throwing my sister a surprise 30th bday party tomorrow night. Although I'm not sure how big a of a surprise it will be. Let me just say it is exponentially harder to throw a surprise baby when the guest of honor has a 7 month old baby and they live in OKC!

Oh and my first dress fitting with Becky Fowler is tomorrow morning at 9:00. Yea!!

What kind did you end up getting?

I would do a test run with them to make sure you can put the on easliy tonight. I was having an off night once and just COULD NOT get the stupid lashes to work so not only did I end up scratching the idea of lashes but in the process of trying to apply them I messed up the rest of my makeup....I had to clean my entire eye and start all over again

I was not a happy camper!

I'm going to keep two of mine to myself today.

I have found us a great little three day beach get-away deal to the Miami area for about $1000 at a very nice hotel. Bill keeps saying that he needs to check the budget. That's fine: I get that and respect that. However, CHECK THE BUDGET ALREADY!!!! Whew, okay, I'm good.

And no, I'm really going to keep my other two to myself.

Julie - I looked on Orbtz a few days ago and saw deal for moderate hotels (3 star-ish) for 7 nights for $1000 in Miami Beach.....not sure if you wanted a nicer hotel instead of more days but just FYI

I finally realized why I care so much about the non-recognition I've received....I put more stock into these people than I should have. I guess I just thought more of them weren't so self consumed. It's ok though...I've got less than 9 hours left at this place!

Oh I do have one!!!

Last weekend I was in Allen an decided to stop by my florist (Market Street) to make a payment towards my balance.......come to find out THEY LOST MY FRIGIN WORK ORDER!!!! So im guessing if I wouldnt have shown up the would not have shown up to my wedding with my flowers! Grr I was pissed...but I faxed a copy of my work orer receipt and all is good now! But still how unprofessional

We have a wedding shower for FI best friend this weekend. They are getting married a month after we are, and I'm kinda jealous that we don't have a wedding shower planned.

We have also decided that we WILL be moving back to ND. YAY because that means my family will be around when we have kids AND I will be able to go back to school; but blahh because I'm not excited about going back to that climate. I love my Texas weather and all there is to do down here.

I know FI will be telling his family this weekend about our move and I know they are going to be really upset that he's moving away again...and they will blame it on me saying it's all "my idea."

Mariah - I thought of you when I saw the previous posts too! I thought "hey, that's not flame-worthy!" Then I saw your post.

My flame is actually for my boss - He is getting married tomorrow night on boat on a local lake.... well, it turns out the boat broke and they had to move the wedding/reception on land and inside. I would be SO MAD!

Don't worry--my ILs will hate me forever because I'm a Dallas girl and now, Bill will never move back to Baton Rouge especially with both my parents being ill. I think I'm also being blamed for the down-turn in the economy and the BP oil spill but that hasn't really hit the news wires yet.

I can't explain how happy I am that MIL has not been involved in our house hunting/buying. She's a negative Nancy and all we would hear is complaining and it's a big step in our life that she hasn't been the center of attention for once.

I'm still bitter that we have to go to the party for the AW couple we know next weekend. We got the invite in the mail on Wednesday and it seriously reads "Come celebrate the most amazing couple M and B..." Um seriously they are not the most amazing, they haven't saved any babies from a burning building, given tons of money to charities, or even been decent to their "friends" lately.
Anyway I don't want to go but since FI already told them we'd be there I'm at least going to have fun and drink all the free drinks I can and get them a gift card and card only instead of buying them something off their ridiculous registry! Ok sorry mini-rant over!!!

i went with the ones at sally's (went on my lunch break yesterday), then next time i'm at the mac store i'll probably check out what they have. i bought 5 different ones. i playes around with them last night and couldn't figure out which one i liked best, but i didn't have any makeup on so it was hard to tell. i didn't put them on, i just put then up to my eye. i probably should practice, but i'm going to just go for it tonight unless i chicken out at the last second! will let you know how it goes. i just get really excited and nervous when i'm hosting a party. i always want everything to be perfect!

Do it! I'm pretty sure you aren't the only one thinking these things. :/ Also, any news on who your replacement is?

I'm flaming my employer. We have security gates we have to drive through to get into the parking garage. 2 years ago they spent a buttload of money to upgrade the badge readers at the gates and to also add tolltag readers, so that the gates will open automatically and you don't have to roll down your window and scan your badge.

Well, some genius decided to remove the tolltag readers. So yeah, great idea to spend a lot of money on something and then take it away 2 years later. Now I have to get soaked everytime it's raining and I have to roll down my window to scan my badge.

I'm flaming a friends super sensitive girlfriend. She's newish to the group and is apparently getting her feelings hurt and whining to her bf that us girls aren't inviting her out to everything. Um hello, we have a big group with several inner circles. I don't whine when I'm not invited to every hh or dinner. Grow-up. This really doesn't help the fact that we already don't really like you and are just being polite because you're dating our friend.
