Rehearsal Dinner

FI and I have hardly discussed the details on this.  We have only discussed possible locations, but most are a little pricey and we are footing the bill.

Who exactly are we suppose to invite besides the officient, parents, grandparents and the WP?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner

  • are you having a rehearsal? anyone you need at the rehearsal (readers, ushers, flowergirl and/or ringbearer, etc.) should be invited to the rehearsal dinner. if you're not having a rehearsal, then you can just invite whoever you want.

  • Adding to what Kelly said, if you are having a rehearsal, all those people should be invited to the dinner (minus vendors, I don't think you HAVE to invite the officiant is they're a vendor). Everyone should also be invited with their significant other. If they're not in a relationship, you don't have to give them a plus one, but couples need to be invited together.
  • We solved that issue pretty quick. The place we picked for our rehersal dinner (which we cancelled the big one) turned into a dinner with our small number of the OOT we have coming in. Well we were there yesterday for my bridal shower and the menu has COMPLETELY changed and its actually higher than it was the last time me and FI went. So we are going to do a cookout for our place instead.

  • Thanks ladies!

A rehearsal is neccessary to help things go smoothly and that's definitely what we want.  I had heard from someone that any OOT guests needed to be included in the RD.  Thanks for clearing things up.
