Moms and Maids

I'm a preggo MOH

I'm 5 months pregnant now- and will have delivered by the time the wedding rolls around on July 4th.  So- I have two months to get in shape (reasonably) but my big question is, how the heck do I get fitted for a dress?? I'm a different size everyday??
Maybe the bigger question is, how long does it take to get your dress tailored?

When I got married, I only had one maid and she fit perfectly in the dress size she ordered...same for me in my wedding dress...so I'm a bit of a rookie with a more traditional scenario!

Thanks,all!!!

My sis was in a wedding 2 months after she gave birth. She guesses her sized (didn't get measured) and just did her pre-baby size plus 2. She waited until the last possible day to get it altered. You'd just need to check with your seamtress to see what sort of time she needs. But definitely order up so you have a better chance of it fitting.

Hope this help! Congrats on the baby!

My sister-in-law was pregnant at the time we bought dresses for the wedding but would deliver before the wedding.  The lady at the dress shop said to go up two sizes.  She ended up picing a dress with an empire waist so that it was very flowing through the stomach so she didn't have to worry about altering as much.

Glad I'm not alone, I am in the exact  same boat!  I called a seamstress and am having my 1st fitting 2 weeks before the wedding.
