Very early morning thread

Re: Very early morning thread

  • Oh, gotcha Bay. I pay mine in person so I thought that's what you were doing when you said you'd be running around all day. Boo!

Ski, I wish you were coming much closer to me. Northern Ohio is too far. ;)

We will GTG Midge!  I will be in Stockport, OH at some point this fall, I truly owe my older sister and her family a visit.  Please tell me you are closer to Stockport.
  • Good morning.  I'm working today and may possibly clean the gutters out if it's slow.  But that's a really big maybe.

  • Sesh, you've got a 13 year-old fan looking forward to those other books.
  • Beanie, you win first 420 reference of the day.  Although I guess I shouldn't be surprised, all of my pothead friends are still sleeping.  Actually, they're probably all at the festival I wish I was at right now!

  • I have no idea where Stockport is. I technically live in KY but we're considered the "Greater Cincinnati" area so that's why I signed up as Cincy.
  • Good morning.  Why won't the dog adjust to this time change?  i took a week off work between jobs, and the dog has woken me up for breakfast by 6:15 every morning.  Granted that's 8:15 in Ohio so she's technically I guess doing really well, but I'm annoyed.

Dealing with insurance today, and hopefully taking the dog for another walk.  That is the extent of my big plans.
  • Morning everyone! Our younger cat woke me up early this morning by standing on her back feet, meowing and pushing on my hand with her front paws.

Bay- I had a friend in CT who went for about 2 or 3 months with expired tags.  She never got pulled over.

  • I got pulled over in PA with expired tags several years ago.  You have 24 hours to bring in proof of registration to the police station.  I blamed it on the X, went to AAA and renew.  No fine.

Stockport is near Parkersburgh WV.  So probably a minimum of an hour from you Midge.
  • Y'all are giving me hope for my plates.  Hopefully all will go well.  Coworker says I can pay the money online so maybe it won't  be a big deal.  If it's still not done by Monday I can just walk to work that day.  H is going to MA all weekend or I'd be taking his car and telling HIM he could deal with the expired registration since it's his fault.

  • Good morning.

My bf in college got pulled over on campus with plates that had been expired like one day. He had actually already renewed them and the sticker was in the mail from his home state. The cop was an asshole and still wrote him a ticket. It ended up being the cop that tased the "don't tase me bro" guy at the John Kerry town hall.

  • I got pulled over with tags that were 5 days expired.  I said, "I know officer, I know, I'm so sorry I was just waiting to get paid and going first thing in the morning I swear".  It was a Friday so my story was believable, and that really was what I was doing.  He let me go.  I think you're just at the mercy of the police officer and the day he's having.
  • That's not too bad Ski. :)

It's taking everything I have no to check my registries today. My first shower is tomorrow.

That was what happened to me, too, only it was on a Friday evening and I told him that I had just gotten paid (it was true, I was a broke college student and that was the only reason why my registration was up).  This cop chose, instead, to be an assclown, wrote me a $93 ticket, and towed my car.  I ended up paying the registration the next day, and the ticket got thrown out in court.

  • That's definitely true Stacks.  I've never been pulled over for my tags before but I've definitely been pulled over a couple times for going through a yellow light.
  • Ski, what part of Ohio will you be in?

<div>I had this happen too :(  On the way to work, though.  They had 2 cops that came and sat with me in the parking lot.  One was a complete jerk that had my car towed and was going to just leave me there.  The other one felt so bad that he actually gave me a ride to work.  Getting a ride to work in the back of a police car = winning.</div><div>
</div><div>Granted, it was my own fault, but still.  Oh well.</div>

What an asshole.  I didn't know they could actually impound your car for that.

He didn't impound it.  He would have if my car was more than 5 miles from my apartment, which it wasn't, so I had the option of towing the car to my apartment.  I still had to get the emissions done, though, and he said that the minute I took my car out of my apartment complex he was going to tow it again, and ticket me again.  He actually told me he was going to lie in wait outside my apartment to see me slip up.  He didn't.  Assbag.

I live about 45-60 mins away depending on traffic.  My parents have a lakehouse up that direction though, so I'm very familiar.<div>

  • July 2012, we are looking for someone to eat.  Totally been too busy to look at places to eat.  Hey, I booked the hotel so that was my contribution!  The LakeHouse Inn it is!  Thanks again.  I will wave back as I drive by.

We are getting so close on our weddings.  You are 3 days behind mine!  Woot Woot!
