Travel details and my colors.... need advice!
Hello All,
This is my first post on theknot; it is wonderful to have so many brides out there to bounce ideas off of.
I am getting married next August. We are paying for the wedding ourselves so we have had to make some sacrafices to keep the cost down. Our venue is very beautiful, but isn't very unique and doesn't do a lot to speak to our personalities or style.
We both love to travel and have traveled a lot together, so I was thinking of adding some travel themed details. (postcards at the tables of places we have been, luggage tags for escort cards, etc) I don't want to a big in your face theme but just something that is a little more personal to us than our banquet hall space feels.
What do you all tihnk of this idea? Is it cheesy?
Also, I really want navy and coral as my colors. They are fun and summery and gorgeous together. Will all of the map/travel touches look strange with those colors. I am NOT going for a vintage travel theme.... just little touches.
