Snarky Brides

An hour and a 1/2 left, entertain me!

Ok ladies, we need to liven this place up. Blue did a good job yesterday.

Anyone have any ideas? Talk to me!

I have no idea Girlie, do tell.

MrsK- We have Hobby Lobbys as well as Waffle Houses. I hate Waffle House, but HL is awesome!

  • There are no words to describe how happy I am to be able to go home in an hour and 40 minutes.

Anyone have any fun weekend plans?  I need to do chores tomorrow (and could use a day to relax) and then I'm having brunch at my mentor's house on Sunday.

  • Good lord, I just got an email from my aunt with her honeymoon registry in it.  I thought the E-vite invitation was bad enough.

Girlie, I liked the joke :)

    Oh Geeze! :)

I just have to get some things done around the house. I hope to have a date night with the H.

Have fun MrsK, you may get lost.

  • I'm sad to report I have eaten at WH more times than any person should have to thanks to H's love of it, especially after triathlons.

Nice Button!  We got a mass email earlier this year from a couple who said the registry slips hadn't made it into all of the invitations somehow so they wanted to make sure people knew where they were registered.  TBH, I don't really care about registry info in the invite but the follow up email caused a hairy eyeball on my part.

  • I have an hour left of work. Hoping the fellows let us put early. Got the MRI set up for Tuesday, September the fourth. Wish it was sooner, but oh well.

No weekend plans here. Just sleeping in and hanging out with the fiance.

Nice joke by the way. Made me giggle. :-D

  • Rachel, whenever I see your SN it reads BMFD (big mother effin deal) to me.  Yes, I'm extremely mature.

We have no fun weekend plans.   Giving the dogs baths is probably the most exciting thing I'll do.

  • No exciting plans here.  Bumming around for a little while before I finish cleaning for my parents' visit tomorrow.  They want to see our wedding gifts that we opened last night.  And we are going to the bank to get my dad's name taken off my Wells Fargo account so I can get H put on.  And hopefully deposit our wedding money if H actually signs the checks tonight.

Oh and thank you notes, lots and lots of thank you notes.

  • Good Afternoon!

We're heading into Minnesota for a little light hiking and a picnic lunch tomorrow.  i need to find a decent picnic kit.  The whole "just shove it in my day-pack" thing isn't cute anymore.  So basically, I'm so thrilled that my H is FINALLY on-board with an outdoor activity I like.  So thrilled that I'm dream-shopping for gear for him.  I should wait to see if he'll stick with it before dropping cash though. But i just cannot resist browsing.

Going out to dinner tonight.  Nothing fancy, just Red Lobster.  it's endless shrimp-fest and i'm craving some lobster bisque.

Seriously, its an embarrassment.  I have to really bite my tongue, because I really want to reply to her email and let her know just how much I dont plan on helping to fund her honeymoon to a tropical island in the Pacific.

I asked in the morning thread, but I dont think you saw it. Congrats and are you going to AW?!

Button- I'm not that polite, I let people know it's a bad idea. I asked my niece at her baby shower after being asked to fill out the address on the the TY car envelope, if she wanted me to fill it out and take it home with me as well. Yes I'm a smartass!

<div>It was just puff pastry wrapped around a filling of ham, bell peppers, onion, mushroom, and cheddar cheese.  Boring steamed broccoli for the side.  Nothing fancy, but nothing weird either.</div>
  • Wow, I had no idea picnic baskets could be so expensive.  I just looked at BB&B and they have one for $250.  Granted, the thing is loaded but yowza!

Mmmm.....I'd have to pick out the mushrooms, but your husband is crazy not to eat that.

I'd probably be as big as a house if I married you!

  • Oh, I only looked because Anna brought it up and realized H & I have  never been on a picnic together.

  • I'm late for the entertainment, but I'm currently writing up a CL to apply for two positions at my dream job :). I seriously wiggled all over the couch when I found out there were openings and that I could actually apply!

Our weekend will consist of me going to the barn a couple times and then going to the Lego store with DH. I'm also house/pet sitting for our neighbors, so I get to spend time with their awesome dog :)

    P.s. Anna, that sounded delicious!

  • That is so stinkin cute KD.

    Good luck NCSU!!

  • KD: I leave the mushrooms big so they're easy to pick out.  As for being big as a house....  I'm not admitting guilt here but my H had gained about 40 lbs since I married him.

Girlie:  They can be really pricey!  I'd love something cute, classy, and not so heavy I can't carry it for a bit if need be.
  • Eh, other then the Rock Hall (which Iove) I really dont know what goes on downtown, we have a casino, House of Blues and Hilarities. on 4th Ave.

We're actually over 1 hour away in the burbs. When I get home I'll google some stuff and send it to you on FB, Ok?
