Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh

Good morning! Friday is on the horizon!!

Good morning ladies!  We just relaxed last night. FI made dinner...it was seasoned chicken breast cut up with some salsa and cheese in a whole wheat tortilla. Kinda like a burrito...so yummy!  Then we watched American Idol.  Thia and Haley need to go...just don't like them.

We pretty decided that we are going to have our rehearsal dinner at our church.  Our church has a full time chef and his food is pretty darn yummy.  We chose it for a bunch of reasons to include how convenient it is (the room it will be in is absolutely stunning), the price and it will be nice to support the church.  They have been so accomodating with responding to questions which is more than I can say for a few of the restaurant's I contacted. **cough, cough...as she say's Atria's under her breath***      The only down side is we can't have alcohol at the church.  No biggie there.  We will be able to bring in almost anything else we want to add to the dinner.  We will bring in a cake and a batch of pstizi's (I have no idea how to spell it, but it is homemade puff pastry with ricotta and feta. It is a family tradition on my FI's side of the family to have it at celebrations).

Ok, I am going to try and get some work done today.  Have a good one ladies!

Pittsburgh September Siggy - Our honeymoon will be at the Royal Suites Turquesas in P*nta Cana. Super excited!

morning! I think I'm finally back on a normal schedule after having to work weird hours late last week and early this week.  I'm slowly making progress with florists... we have two we really like but they are just at different price points, so I'm trying to figure out what I'm getting for my money at each place.

janice- congrats on the check!  That's awesome that your church hosts rehearsal dinners!

    Good morning!

Yesterday I weathered the crazy storm on my way home (my car got hit by some serious hail along the way). I cleaned up a bit and fixed some dinner (steak, 4 cheese rice, and steamed broccoli) then lounged around the rest of the afternoon.

Today is looking to be a pretty crazy day at work again, as I have a lot of loose ends to tie up before the quarter close. I do get to meet with a photographer this evening though! I am hoping that my FI likes him as he really doesn't care too much about photography (or wedding stuff in general really).

Janice- I'm glad it will work out to have the RD at your church. And it is nice to be supporting them instead of some restaurant that wasn't really that nice to you in the first place :-)

hi ladies! No work out for me last night - went to visit one of my BMs for a puppy play date, and then was too exhausted when i got home to do anything but watch a bit of Idol and head to bed early.

janice - thats great about the RD - It will be soo convenient to have it at your church! i agree that its much better to support the church than a restaurant that wasn't nice to you to begin with!

md - glad to hear your work hours are getting back to normal! Good luck with your florist choice..i know its a difficult decision but you prob have some time so you should be able to make a well informed decision! Let me know if I can help any further!

sarilynn - i feel ya about qtr close - though it is usually busy for me the two weeks after close. April is going to be a crazy month with work stuff  - close and reporting wise. Oh the joys of accounting ;)

Md- Good luck with your florist choice! At least you are getting things narrowed down :-) Also glad you are getting back to normal with your schedule.

db- yeah I am not a fan of quarter closes. Better than year ends, but still. Not a fan. And of course, for some reason my office feels the need to schedule random trainings and meetings right before the close, so I really can't get the head start that I need to. Aurgh.....

Morning Ladies!! I had a quick meeting when I got in so I'm to a bit of a late start here this AM! Last night was pretty nice! I FINALLY got to work out! When I got home, FI and I went over to the gym and got a good 3 mile run in! It felt awesome. I am always so much more motivated when I got with him, as I feel if I can slack less because someone is there to hold me accountable. Unfortunately with his schedule, these gym dates for us are few and far between - regardless, it was nice! We came home and showered and started getting dinner ready.

My dad came in from his meeting around 7:00 and we had roasted chicken + gravy, wild rice, and salad - it was delicious! We then watched Idol and I worked on a paper that I had due today (talk about procrastination!) So tonight I have class then I have to pack for the weekend! My dad and I are driving home to Pgh on Friday and I can't wait! I have a hair appointment and a meeting with my florist. My mom and I are also going to head to the Strip to grab some things for the candy buffet and OOT bags!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Janice - mmmmm burrito's sound delicious!!! Also YAY on your RD check! I'm sure it's a huge weight off your shoulders! That's so awesome that you can bring your own food etc. to the church venue!! :)

md - glad your hours are starting to get back to normal! Also you're getting close with your florists! Is there one that's a 'front runner'??

sari - my mom sent me a pic of the massive hail! That was crraaazzy!!! She also said there were tornado warnings all over the area... nuts! Glad you got home safe!

db - I heart puppy play dates! I'm bringing mine home this weekend and am excited because she'll get to play with my brother's dog all weekend! They are 1/2 sisters from the same breeder so they are just adorable together!!! Makes me want another one ;)

Oh and just thought I would add that today is FI and my 6 year dating anniversary!!! Unfortunately I have class so we don't have plans, but I can't believe we've been together for 6 years!! :) FI jokes that in a few months we'll have to start all over again but I say no way! Ha! I'm just going to keep the count rolling :)

g - yay for making it to the gym and congrats on 6 years!  No real florist front runner, both have been super responsive via phone and email, and one even sent me a detailed list of all the flowers I could use with pictures of those flowers!  I'll probably try to meet them in person and see if they can really do what I'm thinking for the price I want and then go from there.

I feel kinda lazy for not calling more florists and comparison shopping, but... I just don't put a high priority on the flowers.

    Thanks girls!

md - Yeah, I hear you there... if it makes you feel better I only met with 2 before deciding on the second one I met with. IMO, if you get what you want for a reasonable price and you're happy with the vendor then there is no need to really shop around!! GL deciding!

Sarilynn & DB- I am getting ready for close too.  Trying to stay focused because the more I can prepare now, especially for a QTR end, the better it will be.  I can usually close our ledger in 2-3.5 days when I am prepared.  We have to report our financials to corporate on Day 4.

MD- Good luck with the florist.  Taking your time to choose will pay off in the end.  That way you don't have the "Maybe I should have" moments later.

GMC - Safe travels to Pittsburgh!  Be sure to get some kettle corn when you are in the strip.  That stuff is like crack for me.  I can't stop at a few pieces (probably counteractive to the defluffing process...lol)  Congrats too!!!  Woo-hoo!!!

DB- I know you told us, but what kind of puppy do you have?  We took Lola and Lacie to the dog park at Frick on Sunday.  They had a blast...we did too!

Pittsburgh September Siggy - Our honeymoon will be at the Royal Suites Turquesas in P*nta Cana. Super excited!

Good morning.  I've been really busy at work today.  I was not expecting to have snow on my car (only a dusting)  this morning.  I'm ready for spring.  Last night I got my photo booth cards, stickers for the cookie bags and OOT brochures from Vistaprint.  I can't believe I'm getting so close!

janice - Roxi is a pug and is about a year and a half old. My BM has a boston terrier so its fun to watch her play with a dog her own size for a change. FBIL/FSIL have a black lab and golden retriever that Roxi loves to terrorize whenever she gets the chance.
