Has anyone taken dance lessons with their FI around S Jersey?  We're in Medford and are looking for somewhere to take a couple of lessons before the dance.  thanks!

    Try the Atrium in Cinnaminson, FI and I took West Coast Swing there. They have all sorts of ballroom dancing.

    DH and I took lessons with a few other Knottie couples at the Atrium on Route 130 in Pennsauken.  The cost last year was $60 total for an hour lesson, so the more couples involved, the cheaper it was for us.

    We'll be taking lessons soon at The Academy of Ballroom Dance in Northfield.  Unfortunately, it's kind of far from you.

    We also took a couple of private lessons at the Atrium in Pennsauken for $60/hour.  Barbara (our instructor) was GREAT.  She really listened to our song and taught us some simple, but great-looking steps and helped us transition into different moves as it made sense to do with the music, helped us learn how to lead and follow each other, etc.  End result is we're both comfortable dancing with each other, and we have a semi-choreographed, but natural-feeling dance.

    Before the Atrium, we tried a lesson at Couples Dance Studio which another Knottie recommended.  Ron (that instructor) was really nice, but tried to persuade us to do a very choreographed, dancing-with-the-stars style routine with not much footwork involved.  That wasn't what we were looking for, but I mention it in case you're interested in something more like that.

    My FI and I definitely want to take some dance lessons - so glad I seen this post w/ studio names. We are getting married next February -- anyone care to get a group together in the Fall??

    We took dance lessons at Fortuna's Universal Dance Studio in Collingswood.  We had the instuctor make up a dance just for us, for our first dance. Here is the phone number 856-869-0010
