  I just thought I'd give you an easy tip for finding little deer cake toppers.  Look for salt and pepper shakers!  They will come in a pair, and might even be a little girl deer and a little boy deer.  Then you can be crafty and find a way to cover the holes on their heads.  (maybe make a veil and top hat)
  
  I'd do some ebay searches for you, but I'm at work and shouldn't even be on the knot. :P

  Thanks nukke. I actually already did that and didnt really find any ones I liked in my price range. i did find these but I dont like how they are painted. Do you think I could re paint them?

  Sure you could repaint them!  You could make them a solid colour like white, and it would be nice.

  I personally think cake toppers should be cute and kitschy.
  
  BTW, here is one of my favourite cake toppers. The bird figurines are simple and white, so remember that you can start with some really simple deer figurines and embellish the heck out of everything else.

  I totally wanted those black & white bird toppers but they were too expensive!
  
  If you are looking for deer maybe you want to check a place that sells Christmas ornaments & decor. We have a few places that sell that stuff all year.
