How important is it that your SO have more/less/around the same partners as you?

    I would like to say "i don't care" but i said that i'd like us to be around the same number. I think there is a point where (despite being monogomous and idisease free) it would bother me. I don't see any reason why someone would have say, 100 partners (even if they are older) - i can't even think of 100 people that i would *want* to sleep with.

    Well, I was a virgin and expected the same... but I was also about twelve years younger the last time I was open to dating new guys.

    I think I'm in the opposite boat as a lot of people.  I have more previous partners than H.  He was saving himself.  I....wasn't.  We didn't discuss previous partners until we'd been dating for a few weeks, which turned out to be fortunate.  I would have been hesitant to start a relationship with someone with so little history; he would have been hesitant to get involved with someone with my past.  Since we'd already gotten to know and like each other, we decided our pasts didn't matter.
