Louisiana-New Orleans

Location for Ceremony/Reception..

I have been wanting to get married in New Orleans, and have searched high and low.... I know I have missed a few places and have counted out places... so if anyone knows of a place that  can work with an extra low budget, it would be appreciated A LOT! Right now, I have looked at Southern Oaks, White Oaks, The Opera Guild House(in consideration), Abita Quail Farm, The Vintage Court, The Gatehouse, Forrest Grove, The Audubon Tea Room, The New Orleans City Park, Patton's, Heritage Park, Chesterton Square...and a few others I can't think of... So excluding these...anymore ideas?

FYI, the Abita Quail Farm and Vintage Court are on the Northshore and they are an hour outside of New Orleans. If you want to get married in the city check those off the list.

Check out the Wax Museum and Rosie's Jazz Hall. Both of these halls have a great New Orleans feel and are budget wise.

Just got back an email from Steve at Rosy's Jazz Hall.....yeah the price is further out than a few other choices I've gone through... Well I just put the abita and vc up there in case people suggested them.

I've never been to it but House of Broel seems very reasonable at $30/person including open bar and cake. http://www.houseofbroel.com/weddings_complete.html

Here are a few other places that I thought weren't too bad...

House of Broehl is definately a steal for what you get!

The Degas House (Edgar Degas' former home in Uptown New Orleans)

Chateau Country Club-This place is technically in Kenner (about twenty minutes from downtown)
