Chain. I'm normally not a fan of chain restaurants, but I love this place.

Oooooh you MUST! My Mom bought 4 bottles of it to take back home with her after visiting me and trying it - my brother wants me to bring him one when I visit since I used it to make hamburgers that he says are the best he's ever had.
World's Best Hamburger Recipe:
1.5 lb ground beef (85/15 quality) 1/2 Yingling Black & Tan (or a full flavored beer - stouts and porters are good) 1/2 cup of italian breadcrumbs Salt Pepper Garlic powder LOTS of Badia Complete Seasoning
Mix with your hands, pat into round patties the size you desire (at least as big around as the buns you intend to use) and no thicker than 1" - throw on the grill!

Ooooh, those burgers sound kinda amazing...

1) Herb Snips! I love using fresh herbs, and these are perfect for everything: mincing/stripping herbs, trimming green beans/snow peas, I don't even know what else yet.
2) Cast-iron skillet. I use this almost every day and I LOVE it. I have a 12" one, and I would love to get a bigger one for stuff like fried potatoes and whatnot. You know, big batches for leftovers.
3) Multi-colored Tomodachi knives. They're so bright and cheerful! And color-coded so I can find the one I need quickly (purple bread knife, orange chef knife, yellow paring knife, red tomato/cheese knife). They seem good to me. I'm sure they're not the best, but they work.
4) Hamilton Beach Smooth-Touch can opener. It opens the cans along the outside of the rim so there are NO SHARP EDGES! It works on pop-top cans, too! I just used it last night and I LOVE IT. Sure beats the old hand-crank thing we had before.
5) Williams-Sonoma Tools & Techniques book. I can't cook. I don't know WTF I'm doing in the kitchen. I'm lucky if I can boil water properly. This book is so incredibly useful to "translate" what a recipe is telling me to do. Because, really, what does "saute" mean, anyway? Stir things around in a pan until hot? HOW? AT WHAT TEMPERATURE?
I feel like I should note two friends of mine pitched in to get me the Kitchenaid mixer.... but I haven't used it yet. So I don't know if it's the best thing ever until I get time to make something that needs to be mixed. lol
Wants:
1) I'm going to cheat and say stainless steel kitchen tools. LOL! Namely, a colander, measuring cups and spoons, and canisters.
2) All-Clad d5 cookware (especially this pan with fry basket and tongs!)
3) A food processor. I REALLY want one. A lot.
4) Bright-colored ramekins. I don't have anything to measure stuff into before I need to mix it. Ramekins would be nice! They'd also be handy for dipping sauces that I don't want to touch my food (I'm hella picky about food touching).
5) Rosle garlic press. We use a LOT of garlic. This would save a lot of time and eliminate garlic chunks.
Are the knives "me" because they're bright rainbow colors and I have a purple bread knife even though I have never made bread... or because if they weren't color-coded I wouldn't know which ones were for what?

I live in an apartment and we are not allowed to have anything outside our apartment and there is no deck or balcony or anything. That is where a george forman grill comes in handy, that and I went to a fatal fire where a guy got blown up lighting his grill so I tend to avoid grills
One of our first arguments after we got our own place was DH (then BF) came home with a toaster oven to surprise me. I flipped the hell out. I mean, I SERIOUSLY flipped. I had no idea prior to that how incredibly much I loathe toaster ovens.
It's like... I have a toaster. I have an oven. WHY THE CRAP DO I NEED AN APPLIANCE THAT DOES THE SAME THINGS?
I made him take it back that very same night.
He still laughs at me about my nemesis, the toaster oven.
