Le Blanc Spa Resort Excursions

Hi guys, does anyone have any suggestions for excursions in Cancun, specifically for Le Blanc Spa and Resort?

Re: Le Blanc Spa Resort Excursions

  • pretty much every resort has the same excursions available. what do you like to do? what dont you like?

  • Do you get an automatic credit?  When we stayed at the Sun Palace in February we got an automatic credit of $1500 and they had a book of what it could be used for.  The Le Blanc is the same chain of resorts.  You can go to Chitzen Itza, the ruins.  It's a 3 hour drive though.  We signed up and then backed out.  You can go to Aqua World and do jet skiing/snorkling/etc.  I think there was some swimming with dolphins thing.  I wasn't interested, but I know a lot of people are.

How did you like Sun Palace? Right now it's number 1 on our list but it has mixed reviews on tripadvisor.

<div>Jumping in, we have gone to Sun Palace numerous times and always had great vacations which is one of the reasons we keep going back. Smaller, more intimate resort located on great beach with beautiful ocean views. Service, as with all Palace Resorts, was always outsanding.</div><div>
</div><div>To OP, for excursions thru Palace (owners of LeBlanc) we have gone to ruins, both Tulum ruins & beach, Chitzen Itza. We also did excursion over to Isla Mujeres on the ferry. Another excursion we did was a swim with dolphins. I've always wanted to go out on one of the jungle boats, but haven't been able to convince DH to do that yet.</div><div>

  • I didn't go/book through any of the resorts I stayed at, but instead booked separately (it was cheaper).  It depends what type of things you like to do.  I'm a huge history/ruins/adventure person and loved Chichen Itza, Coba (you can still climb the large pyramid there!!) and Tulum.  When we went to Chichen Itza it was on an air conditioned bus with restrooms and included breakfast, drinks (beer, juice, soda, water), lunch, a tour at Chichen Itza and stop over at a cenote that we could swim in.  When I went to Coba (tour included), the trip also included a visit to a Mayan Village, traditional lunch there, hiking, kayaking and repelling into a cenote that we could then swim in for a bit.

The first time I went to Mexico was with my brother and his wife and she really wanted to swim with the dolphins, so we went over to Isla Mujeres and she did so there.  Isla Mujeres was fun.  We drove around and found a great little restaurant right on one of the cliffs.  It was a great place to eat and relax.

I have also gone diving there and it was pretty amazing.
  • Sun Palace was great.  I'd definitely go back.  I love how you can go to any of the other resorts and eat for free.  We actually went over to Isle De Mujeres on our own and rented a golf cart.  We drove to the Palace resort there, had lunch and swam in the pool.  The hotel is clean, the food was good and the service was great.  I actually wrote a review on trip advisor.
  • I didn't stay at that resort but while in Cancun we went to Chichen Itza- the Mayan Ruins. I would defintely recommend it.
