Why does society even matter in the first place? Why can't someone just go "Hey, that's wrong to me." This is like the whole "pro-choice equals pro-abortion!" You can think something is wrong without bringing society into it.

I think the only way it would work is from a legal standpoint. Like gay marriage--in the eyes of the law it's wrong, but many people don't think it's weird.

ETA: way behind here, Celles also mentioned stealing. I think murder was a bad example Chels, that can definitely count as weird/abnormal.

There seems to be a big logic fail going on here. Just because one situation is wrong, but not weird (or vice versa) doesn't mean that means you can apply that logic to another situation and have it be true as well. Just because stealing is wrong, but not weird, does not mean that you can say with any veracity that banging your brother is the same.

No. Like stealing, most people do it for some sort of personal gain that is logical to at least themselves. It's horrifying and wrong, but not weird/strange.

What I also find weird (and maybe wrong, idk) is that we are arguing about adjectives, their definitions and what they describe.
