Best.Wedding.Day.Only.Coordinator.EVER.

Not sure my 1st post worked, so here it goes again:

I was saying that Mike & I made our smartest wedding decision so far, today, by hiring Le' Event. They are a Day-Of, only, wedding day management firm & the list of services they provide exceeding anything I've seen from any other vendors so far. There were things on the list we hadn't even thought of, yet, and the owner'--haley--is phenomenal at communicating & putting us at ease about our INTENSE family drama. She is a rock star, and I feel 100% RELIEVED for all of my details being executed on our day....can't wait for it!!!!! www.leeventdesign.com---for all who want relief!!

Thanks for your post - we always appreciate good recommendations.

Please be aware that if you're a vendor, your post(s) will be deleted and your account will be banned.  If you are a bride, you are definitely welcome here - it's just hard to tell from your post what your agenda is, especially since you haven't introduced yourself or told us anything about your wedding besides what a wonderful DOC you've found.

Feel free to (and please do!) stick around if you're a bride - we'd just like to get to know you a little better first!

Oh gosh yes--I am a soon 2-be bride! We are getting married at a home in Houlton, WI that has a breath-taking view of the St. Croix. Our colors are silver, light & dark purple. Actually I am also looking for a rental company in the area for chairs, a possible trellis, tiki torches, etc...so if anyone has any suggestions please let us know!!

Midway Party Rental has tiki torches, and I'm pretty sure they have trellises and chairs.

IzzyJenni---our quote was for an indoor venue, with chairs and tables already set up...it will cost us $895 for the package....i've interviewed with a few coordinators so far and this one offers a little bit more for less.....some of them were coming back as up to $2900 for day of!!

An interesting post. I have to say, though, a lot of vendors are very nice during the hiring process, but how they perform on the actual wedding day is the key.

It'd be helpful to other brides if you'd post your reviews then. I've been coming to this board for a few years, and I can say from observation that there have been several cases where people were extremely excited about a vendor when they hired them, and were gravely disappointed after their wedding day. Hope you stop back with photos and reviews after your wedding.

I can personally say that I was very excited about my alterations person, florist, and reception venue when we hired them. However, they each had less-than-average performance when it came to execution. We even had to fire our florist 3 weeks before the wedding because she didn't return our calls.

Good to know. I'll be sure to post reviews on everyone. I actually had a friend have that happen with her DJ. During the interview process he had the best personality ever, but on the big day things got disastrous....she was called the wrong name, the lights fell over onto the guests during the dance, the wrong 1st dance song was played, etc. So yeah, I totally am aware that "too good to be true, usually is"....

Thanks for the heads up though!
