Downtown Indianapolis Wedding Ceremony Sites

We have found our reception site-the skyline club downtown.  We are not able to have the ceremony there and the pastor we want to use is in Carmel.  We'd rather not have everyone drive from Carmel to downtown so we are looking for a non-church site downtown that doesn't require us to have the reception there.  We have already looked into the state house and it is booked.  Anyone have any ideas?

    Can you do it in the courtyard of the OneAmerica tower? I used to work at OA, and that courtyard is pretty (and in the same building as Skyline).  I don't know if they rent it out or not, but it might be an option.

    You might look into having the ceremony on the canal.  Venues along the canal include the Indiana History Center, Indiana Historical Society, Eiteljorg Museum, and Buggs Temple (can't remember the restaurant/event name) to name a few.  Not sure if they allow only the ceremony to be held there but it doesn't hurt to ask :)

    Email Katie @ <a href="mailto:Katie.Bates@sahms.com" rel="nofollow">Katie.Bates@sahms.com</a> if you want to ask them about the courtyard in the OneAmerica tower. Sahm's is doing my catering & I know they rent the courtyard for events. Not sure if they rent the courtyard seperate of the indoor space, but worth asking.

    The War Memorial. When I was planning mine, that was the site I chose and it is amazingly gorgeous inside.
