Beer Shelf Life Question

I've been looking online but can't find answer, does anyone know how long bottled beer can be stored?  Reason is, saw cases of bud light on sell (not refrigerated) at great price for my sister's wedding at store, the born date is 06/19/11 printed on case, I want to know if we purchase them now and store in pantry away from light, will it be okay if wedding is in sept or will it get 'skunky' ?

TIA

Well, Bud Light has a very low alcohol content, so it doesn't last as long as a beer with a higher ABV. However, never refridgerated and stored away from light, I think it will be okay. Is your house temperature controlled? If your pantry routinely gets above 75 degrees, I wouldn't do it, but if you keep your house room temp, I think it would be fine.

No, please don't do that to your guests.

Beer is highly responsive to light, temperature, alcohol content etc. Just get a keg shortly before if you're worried.

"Store Beer" will last you a couple months, at best. High alcohol content beer, or hopped beer can be stored for years - IF and only if, temperature conditions are right, e.g. cellar temp.

But the wedding is in ONE month. I would agree with you if the wedding was next year.
